Goddamn Victoria Day slowing the delivery of my much-awaited package by one day.

I was in America so nothing in my world even mentioned Victoria Day 'Cept for you folks.

My first prom of the year was this Friday... The most casual one, to be sure... Wore a dress and some lipstick but didn't put a lot of work into it...
My date got named Prom King, which was pretty dope...
The venue was good, the music was mediocre, and the theme (Game Of Thrones) wasn't played up enough to matter.

Best part is that I had to look up the English name because in Quebec it's called the "Journée nationale des patriotes" (National Patriots' Day), where we commemorate the single occasion on which we rebelled against the British, getting our asses kicked yet again.

We changed the name just because it mentions the Queen (in French, Victoria Day is "Fête de la Reine"). Nothing even happened in May during the Patriots' War so it is a holiday completely devoid of significance. I have spent it playing TW3.

Is The Witcher 3 any good? I'm a bit sceptical that it could retain its amazing story from the first 2 games with so much energy having been poured into the open world.

Oh yeah, it is.

Some side quests are even better than the main story IMO.

So they're experimenting with a four-day workweek this summer, which means my hours have changed from 9-5 to 8-6. Getting up hasn't necessarily been bad since I just take away from things I did before going to work before so I can sleep longer, but staying here all day is draining...I'll have to deal with it when my next MOOC class opens up on June 1st. It's on HTML5, so I'm hoping that will help me with my job and with developing the website here. Also getting involved in a design class, but that's a more simple email-based thing that I should be able to manage.

How are you enjoying things up there in general?

They didn't get the memo that said the 4-day work week was supposed to be implemented alongside a decrease in work hours. Keynes thought that with automation we'd all be working 15 hours weeks...joke's on him, bosses just fired a few guys, and now they even invent useless jobs just to have people working all day and consuming.

I finally found a job BTW. It's night shift which is awesome, full-time during summer which is badass. I always wanted to work nights because people and I don't agree and the vast majority of jobs you can get as a student are fucking customer service.

Also, I ended up getting Bloodborne yesterday for the PS4.  It's quite fun, although frustrating when you die.  But that's how it was in Demon's/Dark Souls as well.
