  • Well, think about this Wintermoot, everyone (mostly) is always there to help. These guys here, are prepared for pretty much anything. I know how you feel as I have lost someone too that I very much trusted and loved. You can appoint someone here that you feel is very close to how Charax was and how he felt. I wasn't here when he left, but the people who have stayed with you since the very beginning also know. Go take a break WM, you have to relax. These situations can get better.

  • Take a break, Wintermoot. We all care about you, and the region will last without you for five days, at least.

  • I'd have to be in the hospital or dead to take a five day break. :P I've never taken a LoA since I assumed political office, and I like to think of myself as one of the hardest-working people in NationStates. I think...or hope what will happen is that as the Cabinet assumes the role of managing affairs in their own ministries, it will leave me free to pursue pet projects or micromanage in a particular area for awhile. You know how on some episodes of Star Trek the crew is just doing their own thing, and they get this overbearing admiral on board for a mission that wants to run everything their own way?

    Yeah, that's me. :P

The problem isn't really NS though...March was just a shitty, shitty month overall, that's all. =/

  • I've never understood why it's a western sign of respect to stand up... I mean we also use standing up to signify the beginnings of fights and almost exclusively mean things... But also, weirdly enough, a sign of respect specifically for people who have fought more than you... It's a weird thing.

  • So I just woke up in the middle of the night...I had the strangest dream. I dreamed that a zombie virus was breaking out, and I was immune to it myself, but I desperately needed to leave the area by 8pm for some reason. I don't remember why, but I think by that time if you were still around you would become one even if you'd been previously immune. The problem was that the greatest magic wielder in the land, Ravenclaw (yes, NS's Ravenclaw) was already infected and was using his magic to keep people from escaping. I remember trying again and again to escape...tunneling underground, flying through the air, teleporting, but each time he caught up with me and sent me back to where I started.

And then it was 8pm...I was in a room underground with stairs leading to the surface, kinda like a fallout shelter I suppose, but it was home. I remember I had the entrance barricaded, but I could hear the zombies outside pounding at it, trying to get in...that's when I woke up...

    Strange dream. >_>

  • That's a pretty epic dream :P

My laptop's power unit or power cord decided to stop working >.> so now I'm stuck on my parent's mac. Almost all my projects are stalled >.< A few of my writing projects will go on, but my animations and some guide and intro videos I was working on for Wintreath I won't be able to work on until I either get my laptop fixed or get a new one and re-aquire the software I need. fml

<@Vidarr> I hold onto the constant of change

<@IH> Omega also suits you, it’s the symbol for electrical resistance.
    <@Delta> Are you saying I'm slow? :P
<@IH> You were a component (see what I did there?) of the resistance in Wintreath, were you not?

  • I should have stuck to my beliefs...I developed them over the course of several painful years, and it worked. I was content with how things were, and with what I wanted in life and especially from others...it contributed to my casualness, which I think is one of my better mental traits. I knew logically that I was making a terrible mistake in forsaking my beliefs, but it was just so...new, and different, and fulfilling that. Would it be so wrong to just once ignore the eventualities and just be happy now? So that's exactly what I did, and from there I didn't look back until what I knew would eventually happen, happened.

But I guess it's ok...I suppose the resolve behind my beliefs will be strengthened, watered with the consequences of my idiocy. Eventually I'll put it all behind me and return to how I was before, and if...that...comes up again, I'll more vividly remember why it's best to not go there.

  • Yeah...unfortunately I fell into a common human fallacy.

Sometimes I envy that you can be so casual with relationships, you know that? :P
