So shall we sort of meet in the middle and do a partial repeal of it? Make it so that as long as the person requesting citizenship is not primarily part of the NPO, we accept them? Is that something that we could do?

How would primarily be defined? Further that would require a bit more checking to make sure someone isn't lying about not being 'primarily' apart of it.

I personally believe that we should not allow anyone that has citizenship in the NPO (and the now defunct NLO) under any circumstances.

I personally support the repeal. The crisis is over with Lazarus.

Let's just repeal the Act in its entirety.

We write a simple little bill to do just that, and remove it from the laws.

I disagree, just because the crisis is over doesn't mean we should let the NPO off the hook.

Having this act doesn't keep them on the hook. The act itself doesn't do anything. If we want to keep them on the hook, then we'll explore other options.

1. This act shall be titled as the Repeal of The Anti-NPO/NLO Act

Repeal
2. The Anti-NPO/NLO Act shall be struck null and void, and section 2.1 of the Citizenship and Demonym act shall be amended to read as follows:

Citizens are required to keep the nation which they gained membership with within the region unless they inform the person (or government agency) empowered to accept or reject citizenship applications by section 2.4 of this act.

This effectively returns the Citizenship and Demonym act to the way it was before the Anti-NPO/NLO act was passed.

I already know Chanku doesn't approve. What do the rest of you think?

Maybe I'm a bit biased on the subject, having held a cabinet-level position in the PRL during the coup, but has it not been the nature of the NPO to do this kind of thing? Whether or not Pierconium was sincere in his (in my opinion) very political "apology" of all the wrongs their government has done over the years, it will be a cold day in hell when I actually trust that the NPO doesn't have any hostile action planned against literally anyone they have diplomatic relations with (something I hope Wintreath never has) and I'd rather this legislation be enforced until the end of time. So obviously I am against repealing it.

Since it is the UH's job to get this done, I guess I'll mention them all here...
