Section I: Basic Information
1.) What is the name of your Wintreath nation?
Plumia.
2.) Do you have nations in any other regions? If so, where? Also, do you serve in any official roles in any of them? If so, what are they?
I only have one nation.
3.) Are you new to NationStates?
Yes.
4.) Would you like a mentor to help you learn your way around Wintreath?
If there is one to spare, certainly.
5.) What timezone are you in?
EDT.
6.) How did you find out about Wintreath?
The recruitment telegram; I admit I was sold on the mention of an LGBT community, in particular.
Section II: Interests
There are many things that you can get involved with here in Wintreath, both to help the region and just for fun! Based on your answers to the questions below, we will help you get involved in any aspect of the region that you're interested in so you can hit the ground running fast. Indicating interest here does not commit you to joining any aspect of the region, but will help us guide you to where you want to be here.
1.) Are you interested in being part of our regional military?
Perhaps, if I become powerful enough to be of merit.
2.) Are you interested in forum roleplays (character, national, etc)?
Certainly.
3.) Are you interested in playing in our Minecraft server?
Interested, yes; perhaps when I get a better computer I can try it.
4.) Are you interested in general region-wide games, such as Civilization V? If so, what games would you like to see?
I can't play many games, but if I could then I'd love them. I hear good things about Civ.
5.) Are you interested in regional politics (elections, running for legislature, writing bills, etc.)?
Very, but I'll have to learn the ropes first.
6.) Are you interested in general community discussions?
Yes, though I'm somewhat shy and may be limited on that front.
7.) Are you interested in serving as a diplomat or an ambassador to another region?
Absolutely. That's one of the things that drew me to NationStates.
8.) Are you interested in regional journalism (writing articles for inclusion in regional publications)?
Possibly, but as a full-time student with other obligations it would likely not happen.
9.) Are you interested in creating graphics for the regional website?
So long as I can use them in my design/illustration portfolio. That's essentially what I do for a living.
10.) If you have any other interests you'd like to pursue in the region, please tell us about them! We can make just about anything happen as long as people are interested in doing it.
I may develop a more cogent opinion on this at a later date, but for right now I can't think of anything.
Section II: Introductions and Questions
Please take a moment to introduce yourself to your future region-mates, or ask us any questions that you may have.
I go by Tori. I'm honestly a friendly eccentric and not as aloof as this application may make me seem; I appreciate discourse and love to draw, read, roleplay (particularly tabletop, mostly D&D, Changeling: the Lost, and Maid RPG), and play video games, and it delights me when people send me new music to listen to.
My only real question is: any tips for a newbie? Naturally, I'll be reading the introductory guides, but if there are things I really need to learn right away and keep in mind, I'd like to have a cheat sheet of some kind as such. Any input to that end would be appreciated immensely.
Thank you for considering me for citizenship, and I hope, should I acquire it, that I will be an asset to the region of Wintreath.
