Hi there, I, former citizen of Wintreath and new ambassador from Christmas Country, (link to our region: http://www.nationstates.net/region=the_christmas_country) We are a small region as well. Here is our application:

Section I: Ambassador Information

1) Who are you and what region do you represent?
Christmas Counties(former citizen) and we represent The Christmas Country.
2) Are you replacing an ambassador from this region? If so, who?
No.
3) Does your region already have relations with us, or are you requesting an embassy as well?
The Founder of this region (Christmas Counties) is a former citizen of Wintreath.
Section II: Embassy Information
Fill this out ONLY if requesting a new embassy
1) What made your region decide to pursue relations with Wintreath?
We would like to be friends and stay in touch, and strengthen our diplomatic relationships together.
2) How do you feel our regions can help each other in the future?
By sending different types of technologies(by telegram) to help advance each other.
3) What is your region's military stance? (defender, raider, imperialist, neutral, etc)
neutral.
4) Do you have an off-site forum? If so, provide a link.

Wow...weren't you a new Citizen just hours ago? O_o Thanks for the heads up on that, at least.

In any case, we tend to only accept relations with established regions that have developed somewhat. Charax has the final word on this, but large established regions don't generally establish relations with single-nations regions. Best of luck with your new region, though.

Nobody listens to my advice, because it equates to don't start a new region as someone that's new.

There's just a lot about NS to know and learn even as must a member of a region. Running one...well, I'd like to think I'm a NS veteran and I wouldn't have even tried to start Wintreath without a core group of friends I met here from elsewhere. To be honest, almost everyone I see that tries to start a new region as a new player ends up having quit NS within a week.
