Hi there, I am HannahB and this is new to me, so I am a little nervous, hope this comes out well.

If you hadn't guessed I am running to be a Skrifa in the Underhusen, and as I pride myself on my truthfulness, I am going to be brutally honest with you all here.

I have never held a position in any regional government, I also only have experience from Wintreath, while I have looked at other region pages I have never joined them, and realise that it's a whole other ball game. Neither do I have experience with working on legislation, and while I have read all the laws of Wintreath I am in no way a scholar of them, if those are the things you want in your Underhusen then I will tell you, you are best to vote for someone else.

I understand I am a wild card vote, and I hope you understand that as well All I can do is give you promises, promises that you have no evidence to suggest I'll keep. But that will not dissuade me from trying to convince you .

I am a fresh face, and as such I would hope to be able to provide a lot of new passion, activity and ideas to the role, were I elected. I personally have far too much free time on my hands, and so I would try to be available for a talk or discussion as much as possible, and this ties in with my ideas for governance.

While I am doubtless going to be asked about legislation, I am not going to commit myself to anything, as that is often a recipe for disaster, instead I shall outline my rough goal: when it comes to legislation, I would like try to make the Wintreath legal and government system more accessible, available and applicable to the average citizen, I realize that is a very very lofty goal, and I honestly don't know for sure if it is achievable, or how it would even be done, but I aim to try my best.

While this is all well and good, my aim goal here is to have a good time and to make sure everyone I meet is having as good a time as they can, whether I am elected or not I will work hard on this that is without a doubt, but maybe if given the chance I could try my hand at making the whole region have some fun and enjoy their time here.

It's not so much that things need to be more accessible, ect, the system does seem good as is, I merely think that some small changes may help things flow better as I say I haven't been around for long so I could be wrong, so what I meant by unachievable more relates to the changes actually either not helping or making things go from good to bad

The way I see it some people who join might not want to read all the laws, or might not want to ask about or question them; alternatively if issues arise in the region it could be confusing for what to do, where to go, who to see for mediation or more serious measures, and then how these things are processed and handled, while outlined in the current law may still be confusing to some  ... :s and other minor things like that

So I am more just trying to streamline and try to make things easier for people rather than large paradigm shifts

As I say I don't know if this is actually the case, if it's not then that's great and I apologise for not understanding myself even things that work well need to be tested every now and again

Complaint :s I hope I am not coming off that harsh  ... anyway:

This is where my lack of experience really shoots me in the foot, and attempting to answer more direct questions about what should be done is where I thought I'd go wrong. But I'll give it a shot anyways

I think the writing of either additional documentation or even laws which apply to the already existing ones and aim to highlight key points and explain current use of the law, these new documents could be simple to understand and would aim to make people understand how the law applies to them...

If that is too much, (or maybe as well as that) we could start some kind of Legal and Governmental FAQ, where new people can ask questions about these things freely, or even older members could ask the people who'll be applying these laws about they might need changed or altered

As I say these are only rough ideas and I have no way of telling if this would work, also I totally just woke up  so I could be way off right now

Don't be concerned about a lack of experience. It seems every Underhusen has one or two new citizens running and even getting themselves elected. I, myself ran for UH after being here less than a month (I think) and Pengu has become nobility after all he's accomplished in his short time here. Good luck!  You seem to have a lot of great qualities!

As I said I already think Wintreath works great, it's a pleasure to be here, and I don't want to endanger that by messing with the core fundamental laws of the region.  

Instead, as I hinted at in my original post and followed up in my responses to Wintermoot and Laurentus, I hope to try to streamline the way people look at the laws and the governing bodies and interact with them . But I am not going to lay out any plans before I have my toes in the water if you get my metaphor.

I am also unsure if the ideas I discussed would help in anyway with my goal, and that coupled with my refusal to make a firm stance, and my lack of experience, I would completely understand if you didn't want to vote for me

You're not endangering anything by suggesting improvements to the Fundamental Laws or any other laws in Wintreath.

Take a look at them, I really am curious, as a new fresh face to the region, what do you think could be improved ?  Feel free to speak your mind after reading them   Don't be afraid of taking a peek
