Not now we are nearly prepared to go through with the plan to restore the catatonic queen I just need something of great value and i can fix the changeling hive mind and prevent the possible destruction of the changeling empire...

*she looks a bit depressed at the group*

But i must tell you all it may be a bit hard for you guys to help me carry out. she says before pouring some mead for the old man to enjoy like anyone would do at the end of the world.

* Wintermoot thinks that this man has had a few too many already, and is glad that he went with the non-alcoholic choice without a fight. He pushes a glass of a creamy dark mixture with ice cubes floating at the top towards the man and encourages him to take a drink.

Now just relax and calm down there. I'm sure we're not going to go kaboom and that everything is going to be alright.

And I do not keep jewels! I am a hard-working Monarch and I am not so vain as to keep around jewels for no reason. ;-;

"Like a gold medallion?" Halvard asked flashing his.

It may but we need at least some kind of jewel or crystal as well...

*she stares between them*

Trust me i know what i am about to do. the changeling responds.

"The only crystal I have is in my personal telescope. My jewels are, secured, elsewhere." Halvard replied, taking off his medallion to help aid the Queen. He had a feeling she might be integral to the future.

*Lilith takes the amulet and places it on a sheet of black vellum on the bar*

We are going to need something to attract the eye besides the metal....

*the changeling begins sharpening the knife for the ritual ahead*

I have forgotten to mention a component besides the gem, we will need another material like volcanic glass, lapis lazuli, quartz, or obsidian this material will provide a tertiary effect on the other 2 materials...

*the changeling begins to look for this material*

But the jewel is very important and this process will go horribly wrong if not present, It doesn't have to be massive nor the finest cut of gem for those problems will solve themselves when the time comes. the changeling informs them as she searches.

* Colberius X swallows nervously as the C'tan knife begins slicing through the stone Lilith is using in an attempt to sharpen it. He pulls out a handheld cogitator and clicks through several files. Finding what he wants, he hands the cogitator to the changeling.

* Colberius X turns to Wintermoot as Lilith looks over the cogitator's display. 

Seeing as I specialize in handling Xenos, I volunteer my services to investigate this "blue star."  Although I don't advertise it, I am a psyker, and this man believes that he's telling the truth.  And I am getting a sense of something...alien...coming to Wintreath.

"Then let us go to my Telescope, I will show it to you." Halvard offered, finishing his drink.

He paused and thought a moment.

"If you're feeling it, I wonder what similarly gifted individuals are feeling." Halvard pondered.

Well i hear a distant echo but it's to far and unclear with the hive mind you know DYING. the changeling is very irritated at the lack of effort to save her species.

*she then realizes she is slowly succumbing to the effects herself becoming more and more aggressive* 

Ok I don't care how you guys get the remaining 2 materials I JUST NEED A GEM OR CRYSTAL OF SOME KIND AND A 2 SECONDARY MATERIAL OF VALUE TO ACT AS A SUPPORT!!! she yells unintentionally.

*Lilith is trying so hard to stay calm and focused on what needs to be done trying to search the bar up and down for the remaining 2 materials needed to go through with the ritual*

Halvard sighs, and steps outside.

A short while later he returns with a small emerald, embedded in a gold ring.

"One of my treasures, fortunately, my home isn't too far off with the small bit of transport magic I can use. It's both a gem, and a secondary material of value." Halvard said, tossing Lilith the ring.

*she gasps before sighing*

The jewel will work but the secondary material has to be different to the primary material  because the ring will just bond with the primary material from the gold amulet...

*she then places down a list of materials that can be used as a catalyst for the coming ritual*

Volcanic glass

Obsidian

Pearl

Ivory

Ebony

Lapis Lazuli

Dragon bone or scales

Quartz

Moon stone

Mithril     


These are some of the substances I can use as a catalyst. she responds before placing the emerald ring on the black cloth.

-pulls out a dagger that I have and I remove a small piece of quartz from the bottom of the handle- Will this do?

*sigh* yes we can....

*she hands them the dagger and moves toward the bed to lie down in it*

Listen This is going to sound mad But I will need you to KILL the queen...it will be difficult but make sure there is no possible way she will survive...

*she then settles down into the covers*

After that Barricade the door leading to this room and DO NOT OPEN IT UNTIL THE RITUAL IS DONE.the changeling warns them.

Why should we trust you?  How do we know that you haven't also succumbed to the effects of the collapsing hive mind?
