This isn't the uniform in question, if that's what you're wondering.  The Inquisition can afford new threads quite easily, seeing as I'm the only member. (*sigh*) I like my coat and hat just fine.  It's the military that needs some attention.

I am doing quite well, elections are wrapping up over in Ainur so I had to make my appearance over there. Weekend is going well, running around all day today.

Are those two things you can drink together, by chance?

I've been keeping up with the elections in Ainur...looks like there will be a Dawkins in the helm as Steward again, and 94 Block to boot. It'll be interesting to see if there's any reaction from Tim and Osiris now that they are harboring the person that recently destroyed AoI's forum, lol. In any case, we're having Underhusen elections here as well...they haven't been the most active, but at least we got enough candidates to where someone will lose out.

So...running around all day, huh? Anything I'd want to run around with you for?

*the changeling arrives back into the tavern after a period of absence*

My apologies I had been Helping some of the hordes colonies with a recent snow problem...

*the changeling pours herself a glass of warm water for some tea*

I mean we can adapt to the snowy climate, but growing thick hair from chitin takes a few days and until then they are pretty much naked in the snow. the changeling replies taking a sip and opening the tome so she can get back to the story.

(the next chapter follows and it is a bit roughly written so please do not get to mad (also dialogue is horribly written so just go with it))

So queen wither mist gathered the remaining of the women and followed the voices cryptic instructions, bringing them to the chamber that returned to its cavern state and with unity sang and chanted a hymm lost to our people today.

They danced and made merry for the room was a party, the queen herself proclaimed to them that they would rebuild from ruin and ash.

The voice was impressed and felt things were going according to plan....

At that moment the queen followed through with 1 final order that brought tears to her eyes...she along with 1/3rd of the remaining changelings attacked the others leading to a great brawl.

With that order the voice began to cackle and chuckle as the room inverted itself gravity seemingly turned upside down, And each member of the 2/3rds became petrified in what could only be described as chocolate bark with confusion upon their faces.

The remaining changelings then turned to the obelisks that began to glow as a portal was seemingly ripped violently in the fabric of space and time, and the voice began to echo louder and louder before He emerged from within.

The creature was odd seemingly composed of pieces and parts of others, a lions paw, a eagles talons, a goats horn, an antler of a deer, a cloven hoofed leg, the leg of a reptile, a serpentine dragonian body and, a goat like head.

His eyes were yellow with red pupils and he looked upon the changelings like they were his toys and he laughed and laughed.

The queen looked in awe and in fear at the beast for she was truly confused but she needed to take action.

You should have seen the look on all of your faces...In fact you should. and with a click of his eagle like hand photos began to rain down from nowhere and on each one was the changelings shocked expression.

I must thank you all for I have been itching for someplace new to roam....

the queen seemingly was about to ask what the hell was going on but when she tried to speak nothing came out she was muted like if someone had pushed a button on her.

Oh I am sorry let me see what i could do... And with a click of his fingers she began to speak normally at least in her train of thought before realizing the looks of confusion her swarm was giving her.

Oh I am sorry I guess i got the language stuck on prench. with another several clicks she switched through several languages until she switched to normal equestrian.

Now speak..quickly however for i have a world to explore, I can spare the time for 3 questions and 3 wishes before I go and play. the voice addressed the queen.

WAIT WHAT IS THIS!!!! a random citizen of the horde shouted before with a click of the beasts fingers the room stopped only the queen and beast remained.

Now come on I don't have all day...if you have it it is pretty dark down here.

The queen had been seemingly in shock from all she just witnessed but was able to make out her words just barely...who are you? she whispered

I my lady am Discord god of chaos and disorder from realms far between and now here. the voice presented itself bowing with a purple top hat (that came from nowhere)

The queen continued with sobs of why did he do all of this.

I think i already answered that GOD OF CHAOS and all. Discord said enunciating the name with glory.

The queen finally finished up with what have i done. seemingly breaking from the madness around her.

The god of chaos looks towards her and with his tail pulls her closer into a hug.

What you have done is did what you must to save your people, you had brought me into your world to my delight, and you have dammed everyone else in it. the beast smiles trying to comfort the crying queen unsuccessfully.

Now You have 3 wishes, i will give you the time to think...and with those words in the queens mind time seemingly vanished hundreds of thousands of years past in her thoughts and she had came to a result and what she was to wish for.

I wish for my race to adapt and survive always through whatever is thrown at us, I wish for my people to always be able to have someway to grow in number, And I wish that the one responsible for my races suffering ALL OF IT to die. the queen said to discord who looked at her with eyes that seemingly cared for the one who brought him through.

Your wishes shall be granted, But first before I go a spoiler on what they will bring....

The queen seemingly then fell unconscious as visions flashed through her mind while the god of chaoses voice narrated every thought.

She saw her people enduring and changeling physically to every environment that lived in, but she saw the swarm divided in caste, hive, and leaders leaving nothing but destruction and chaos in its wake. (remember changelings at the start did the whole ritual to gain horns and wings and strength to become equal and united so this vision is pretty much showing the opposite for her people.)

She saw her people numbering in hundreds of thousands, But so many starve and die and atrocities she saw made her sick to her stomach.

And finally she saw the fall of the old god who had dammed them to become monsters die and fall, Only to be replaced by a tyrant a god who had no rules or ethics who would screw with people for the hell of it, A sandbox to play it.

But before she snapped into consciousness 1 final vision became seen to her one the god of chaos let slip without his notice...One of the sun and moon rising together on a distant day and together they fought against the dark cloud and with a great power sealed it away.

When she awoke she was back in camp with her remaining changelings who questioned what she saw, She told them 1 word "change".

At that point she had also realized they were still underground...and with a mutter she said "Thanks discord" ironically before passing out a crystal cocoon enveloping her and her people changing them into what we know today as changelings.

The changeling shuts the book taking a break from changeling history and needing something to eat and drink as she answers questions.

*Passes a whisky to the changeling and a bowl of gummy bears*

Well I am sure everyone knows of my feelings on that whole Osiris thing, I usually do not get directly involved in the politics of the region unless I am needed. I try to help guide it with small comments and the proper use of my implied authority.

I prefer to spend my time in a spam area or a light RP.

I try not to get involved in gameplay much anymore, because it seems to be devolving into something straight out of Lord of the Flies, but I did have to call out Osiris's hypocrisy. Just weeks after condemning Ainur for having someone who destroyed a forum years ago, who apologized and has worked and earned back a respectable status somewhere, Osiris harbors a forum destroy from last month, who was perfectly alright with letting Shadoke take the complete fall for him, who discredited the person that revealed the truth until they produced irrefutable proof, and who is obviously more sorry that he got caught more than anything.

There's supposedly going to be a court case in Osiris, but I know how the game is played. Apologize, lay low for awhile, and wait for the issue to blow over. And it seems to have already done so. Politics 101.

When forum destruction is supposed to be such a cherished 'principle'. Yeah, cherished when a Pharaoh has a political axe to grind, perhaps. I'm sorry for bringing politics into such a lively tavern, but this really took the cake. On the other hand, my one sentence statement prompted a full topic of hate and angst against me and Wintreath, so I must have struck a nerve.

In any case, enough with gameplay angst...what's in those bags?

Also, that was a fascinating story! And here I thought Reon was the God of Chaos.

You weren't aware their forums were destroyed last month? From what I understand they didn't really use them much anyway, but from what I know Rifty apparently told someone to go kill themselves, and in retaliation Shadoke wanted to destroy AoI's forum...but didn't know about using proxies or anything, so he passed on the root admin password to Ridersyl and he did it for him.

However, Ridersyl's participation didn't become known until later. Shadoke confessed and took the full blame for himself, but apparently one or the other (I forget which one), bragged about Ridersyl's participation to Frak, who decided for whatever reason to expose him. The problem is, Frak is DOS on NS, so his topics were deleted and it was pretty easy to discredit him...until he produced video proof of a Skype conversation he'd had about it, which led to this apology and retirement. The 'retirement' lasted maybe a few days. In any case, as I understand they were able to restore the forum with Zetaboards' help, but I'm not sure if they're using it or not.

And that's all I know. To be honest I don't follow Rifty or AoI much...I've observed that Rifty tends to attract a lot of drama anywhere he goes, though if he's telling people to go kill themselves I suppose I can see why.

It's not that I really care about that principle as it's written...personally I don't agree with the idea that even forum destroyers should be permanently shunned forever without the chance to repent and redeem themselves. It's the hypocrisy from a region that had just condemned and attempted to get other regions to exact diplomatic punishment on another region for 'hoarding' a forum destroyer from years ago who by all accounts has redeemed himself since...a person that it's well-known the current Pharaoh of Osiris doesn't really care for. A Pharaoh that once upon a time even accepted an apology from him for his act of destruction.

Thank you.  Yeah, New Hyperion is a member of The Purified Commonwealth with AoI, but I tend to keep my distance from them.  Military ops are the only time I'm really involved with them.

I was his NS son for a brief period, after Cormac disowned me. At one time I was a much more naive person, back when Spiritus is the only region I'd ever been a part of and it wasn't apparent how there are people on this game that want to use others to advance themselves.

But that seems like a long time ago nowadays.

I'm always happy to hear that Wintreath and I have such a high standing in Ainur. If for some reason the whole Wintreath thing didn't work out I'd almost certainly 'retire' there (quotes cause nobody really retires from NS).
