Fair Representation!

Hello Everyone!

Most of you don't actually know me, so I suppose I should introduce myself. I am your Jarl of Defense, Lord Denth Rowan. I've been involved in NationStates for about 2 years and joined Spiritus 5 months ago, which is how I met Wintermoot. After his resignation I took joint citizenship in Wintreath and was appointed Jarl of Defense. Since then, I've been working with Lord Saeturn Valerius, Field Marshal of the WHR, and attempting to get our regional military up and running. I've additionally been contributing to the Constitutional Convention, and have volunteered to draft our Constitution.

Now, anyone from Spiritus knows that when it comes to government representation, I am very outspoken. I believe that all citizens should be fairly represented in our government, and that is what I can promise you. If I am elected, I promise that I will fairly represent all citizens that I represent, and will always be open to the ideas of those who I represent. As such, feel free to ask me any questions below. (Note to Toms, the Cormac Ten are not acceptable.)

1. What do you feel is the most important legislative goal to be accomplished during the coming term?

2. What do you feel should be the nature of the relationship between the executive and legislative branches of government? Do you believe the relationship between the two under the proposed legislature is appropriately balanced or out of balance, and why?

3. What are your beliefs about our proposed judicial system? Please be as detailed as possible.

4. Name one thing that might go wrong with one of our laws and how you would fix it.

5. Do you see treaties as a means to develop a new relationship with a region, a means to make official an already solid relationship, some combination of these, or something else entirely? Please be as detailed as possible.

6. Under what circumstances would you reject a treaty submitted to the legislature by the King?

7. Do you believe that executive ministers should be confirmed by the legislature? Why or why not?

8. Do you believe that our current system for the legislature is going to work or do you think we should transition to an assembly-style legislature open to all or most citizens? Why?

9. Do you think we should have an appointed or elected WA Delegate? Why?

10. What are your views on our Military Alignment?
