Wouldn't it be cool if Honorary Citizens were named Paragons instead, like the revered dwarves of Dragon Age?

*writes this down in a section known as "You know you play too much Dragon Age when..." *

But it would be kind of cool. 

I've always hated how generic 'honorary Citizen' sounded, especially when you consider what they're supposed to represent...but I'm not usually creative enough to come up with cool names like Paragon on my own, so yeah.

In case the Storting wishes to take up the incredibly awesome banner of Paragonship...

The Paragon Recognition Omnibus Amendment Act

1) This Act shall be cited as The Paragon Recognition and Citizen Amendment Act.

2) Article 3 of the Citizenship and Demonym Act shall be amended as follows:

3. Recognition of Paragons
    3.1 The Storing shall have the authority to recognize any previous or current Citizen as a Paragon of Wintreath if it feels the individual was an essential of member of the regional community, or performed invaluable service to the region, and/or otherwise embodied the principles, values, culture, or honour of the region.
    3.2 Paragons shall be exempt from the requirements of Section 2 of this Act and shall enjoy all the rights and privileges of Citizenship.
    3.3 The Storting shall have the authority to revoke recognition of Paragon status.

2) Article 2 of the Charax Romanov Act shall be amended as follows:

2. Paragon Status
    2.1 The Ex-Crown Prince and Jarl of Foreign Affairs Charax Romanov shall be recognized as a Paragon of Wintreath.

3) Section 2.2 of the Insenjar Act shall be amended as follows:

2.2 The Storting hereby recognizes Insenjar as a Paragon of Wintreath.

Besides the obvious cosmetic changes, there are also two practical changes made.

1) Honourary Citizenship could only be granted to former Citizens, but Paragon status can be granted to either past or current Citizens. This gives the Storting more flexibility in granting this status.

2) The rights of Paragons as being the same as Citizens is explicitely stated in law. When Charax returned last spring and joined the government/ran and voted in elections as an Honourary Citizen, it was unclear in law if this was allowed. This would definitely settle the issue.

Well it does sound nicer than Honorary Citizen.  Gives it a sort of dignified and powerful sound to it, and it still fits nicely with Wintreath's theme as well.  I'm all for this.
