Do you have an accent? For some reason, I imagine you sound pretty much British.

Also, I'm surprised that you'd like a career in law. Although you definitely have the attention to detail required.

And is conscription a thing everyone has to go through in Singapore? In South Africa, it was abolished around 1990, but before that, you had to join either the police, ambulance services, fire department or army when you left school, which was as young as 16 for some. Of course, if you had to study after school, you could do that, but eventually you had to serve. Some people, like my father weren't given a choice about where they ended up, and were immediately pushed into military service.

Yep, conscription is mandatory under the Enlistment Act, and it lasts for two years.
