You have been possibly the most inflammatory person in our legislature, in Wintreath, and debatably in the entirety of NS... As a voter and someone who may possibly have to work with you that makes me EXTRAORDINARILY worried... What do you have to say to that?
Inflammatory? I wouldn't call it that. Do I stir up debate? Possibly. However, I speak my mind as an independent thinker. I'm not a lemming, and I won't blindly follow any government or political movement. As legislators, it is always our duty to question the executives and vice versa.
I understand your concern if you feel that this could be an issue, but I assure you it is not. Having discussion and debate, including debate where we disagree with each other, is healthy. We always just have to make sure it does not ever devolve into personal and hateful attacks.
I hope that addressed your question.

I don't believe as a member of the underhusen you are in the government?
Legislators are part of the government, just like the cabinet is part of the government. They're just part of different branches of the government.
Don't get me wrong, I do think your intentions are good, but I have a problem with the execution of your intentions. I've watched you as a citizen, a candidate, and a Skrifa, and it's always been the same thing: You preach respecting and caring about people's views and caring about all of the citizens...yet when someone questions your views, even if it's not even done maliciously, you go into either a passive aggressive mode and make yourself look like a victim, or you go full out aggressive and defensive.
To quote you yourself in Chanku's candidacy thread:
As a Skrifa you're obligated to care about everyone's views, not "may care". It's not optional.
That's not a one way street. As a citizen, your views should always be respected even if there's disagreement. But as a Skrifa, you should always respect others' views and opinions, even if you disagree with them. You're representing the people after all, ALL of the people. Even if it's someone disagreeing with your views, it's about going about it tactfully and putting on your empathetic slippers, understanding their side of the issue and respectfully disagreeing.
That goes for elections too. Not everyone is going to vote for you Gov, especially since your pushing people to vote for you can be pretty intimidating. So disliking posts that don't vote for you is a contradiction of what you preach. It's unsportsmanlike. You could just as easily not click it or even like their post which is like saying "I don't agree with your candidate choice, but I respect your decision." But disliking posts that don't vote for you is pretty much saying "I don't agree with your candidate choice and I don't respect your decision." Which, again, to me contradicts what you preach.
So tell me Gov, and I don't mean for this post to come off as an attack (if that's how it's being translated), but why should the people vote for you? I've only pointed at one tidbit that strikes as a bit worrisome, so what's to say there's not others out there?
Actually, let me put it this way. You've gone off at Chanku for openly admitting at some point that he didn't care for ALL of the citizens...yet your actions have shown that, while the words haven't outright came out of your mouth, you're in the exact same kind of boat... just in a different stream.
So what is it that makes you different, or a better choice? What makes you a better decision than any of the other candidates running?
EDIT: To add this, since it was mentioned by tatte and I asked it myself:
Say both you AND Chanku get elected to the Underhusen. Considering the rockiness between you two, are you going to be able to work together if you both get elected? That means putting aside any prior dislikes and the like and working as a team. Is that going to be an issue if it does indeed end up happening?
I was pointing out something to Chanku that was a contributing factor to his earlier recall. In the transcript in the thread, it was shown he didn't care about my views since I didn't vote for him. What I was getting at was that even if he doesn't agree with everyone's views, he still has to care for them, it's not optional, which he didn't seem to understand. I didn't say to him, or to anyone here, that their views don't matter. They do.
Everyone's views matter, even if they disagree with mine. People dislike things I say, and I can dislike things to. I'm not doing it out of malice. That's what it is for. I am genuinely disliking what they say because I disagree with it, it doesn't mean I'm not going to ignore what they say. Other people dislike me too and I already am aware I'm not going to get everyone's vote. I'm just trying to do my job as best as I am able.
Why should you vote for me? I'm an active legislator. I actually did my best to take all the people's views into account when I proposed my judicial bil, and put it in the poll format, and solicited feedback on it. I do take other people's views into account, both those whom I agree with, and those whom I disagree with. You may not realise it, because I actually do.
I was initially against the Persona Non Grata Act, but after discussion offline with two people on IRC, albeit heated discussion, I changed my vote to AYE. That is an example of how I do listen to people. People may not always listen to me, but I do listen to people. I ask questions, to get a better understanding, and if I don't think something makes logical sense, I will say so.
That is what legislators should do. They should be independently thinking, and asking questions about things. Laws, policies, proposals, etc. We should never be a rubber stamp to anyone.
What makes me a better candidate is that I never said I don't care about what citizens think. I do. Do I necessarily care about my reputation? Probably not. I never was in this for reputation improving. I was doing it to help contribute to Wintreath. I've never said anyone's views don't matter. Mine may be the exception in that they don't take precedence over the views of the people here.
I'm willing to work with others in the Underhusen and everyone else that's willing to be reasonable and provide suggestions. Some have already done so, which also contributed to how I voted on the PNGA. If Chanku and I both get elected, I'm not going to oppose him just because he's there. If he has an idea that I find sound, and the people support, I'll support it. If he doesn't, I'll say why. I am willing to work with anyone in a reasonable manner as long as everyone else is willing to work with each other in a reasonable manner. Do I dislike Chanku? Not really. It takes a lot for me to dislike someone, and even more for me to hate someone. It's not going to be an issue for the reasons I said above.
Does that address your concerns, Pengu?
