Lots of us in the region like playing Civilization, and seeing as we had a nice game tonight I thought it'd be awesome to keep track of games and scores for the region! Read below for information/discussion about individual games.

Game 1
Reon vs Wintermoot vs Amalya

This was a fun but uneventful game...mostly because I forgot to add in AI opponents so the map was too big. Reon and I ended up together on a large island mass...he as in the northern portion while I was in the southern portion, but due to the rugged terrain and restless barbarians we didn't end up meeting each other until late in the game. The only conflict between us was that he sent some Protestant missionaries and converted one of my cities, and then I promptly used Grand Prophets to reconvert the city and convert one of his cities to Catholicism.

Meanwhile, Amalya was placed on Barbarian Island Hell, as far as we can determine. She spent the entire game fighting off barbarian hordes with no contact between us...just particularly unlucky placement, I suppose.

The game ended around 1620AD, with Reon having 856 points, me having 713 points, and Amalya having 356 points. It was a good game! Though next time I will try to remember to either add AI opponents or make the map smaller.

I suppose when we're all around, have a few hours to spare, and want to play.

Sorry about ducking out, by the way, I didn't realize just how tired I was.

No worries...we spent a good three hours playing it as it was.

Seems fun. I'll have to play one day.

I felt so old, falling asleep at 1am haha. So much fun though.  It'd be cool to actually Skype or something during the next one, so much trash talk that only my dog got to enjoy

Sleep. The most important part of the day... er... night.

Yea. And I just have several nights in a row with so much homework, I literally sleep for only 3-4 hours.

If there's people around on IRC with several hours to spare that wants to play...we'll have a game.

I've learned it's next to impossible to schedule these things in advance.
