Cool, I'd like to join the programming contest.

Well the competition hasn't even been completely organized yet.

I have some experience with C, so if this becomes a thing, I might give it a try.   

Nice to know, also I do plan on having the competition run, but it will probably be later.

My vacation education experience has provided me with something that may be of help here.

I give you...Scratch! Scratch was developed by MIT to make programming more accessible to young people and to people that want to explore the concepts of programming. Instead of memorizing functions and focusing on syntax, you snap together jigsaw pieces that do different things and represent control logic. It's surprisingly powerful and easy to get something working in it.

In fact, I took about 30 minutes and created a demonstration program: The Royal Dog Keeper!

As the Royal Dog Keeper, it is your job to attend to the needs of the Monarch's pet dog, Sea Salt, and he has some peculiar needs. See, several years ago on a hunting expedition for the best pies of the region, the Monarch and his party ran across foul magic crafted by the wicked wizard Salec, meant to shrink their dicks with each step they took! Sea Salt bravely shielded his master and the rest of the party, taking the spell upon himself and saving the sex lives of all.

But sadly, that magic now exists inside of him, and his body shrinks a tiny bit with every move he makes. It's believed he could even disappear from existence if he isn't taken care of...and the only way to compensate is to feed him cake! Lots and lots of cake...cake will undo some of the damage and make him grow each time he eats it! Just don't touch the cake for yourself, or the disembodied spirit of the Queen will shriek across the entire castle. In life, she despised many delicious foods so she now haunts anyone within the Castle that dares to touch great tasting food...

Prod Sea Salt along, keep him healthy, and avoid the cake!

Just an idea, but I think Scratch would be a great tool for a beginner-level competition, while more advanced-level tiers could still use legit programming languages. It might open the competition up to more people if we had it like this, at least...

I would like to add that the name isn't proper Swedish. A proper translation would be "Programmeringstävling". The current name, "Programmet konkurrens" means "The program competing".

Alright...keep in mind I used Google Translate and you weren't in the region at the time, thus I did the best I could, however I'll change the name (eventually I'm rather busy atm...Midterms this week and all that)
