Application for Jarl of Foreign Affairs

Thank you for your interest in applying for the position of Jarl of Foreign Affairs! The Jarl of Foreign Affairs manages our relations with other regions, maintains our network of ambassadors and diplomats, and assists the Monarch with the discussion and drafting of treaties with foreign regions and organizations. Additionally, the Jarl of Foreign Affairs serves on the Riksråd, or Executive Cabinet, which serves as an advisory panel to the Monarch for various regional affairs.

To apply, you must have been a Citizen of Wintreath for at least one month. Additionally, you should be aware that there is a monthly activity requirement of 3 posts per day/month average placed upon all Riksråd positions, not including days taken on a valid leave of absence, and that ministries are extensively reviewed at the end of each month.

1) What have your contributions been to Wintreath's diplomatic relations thus far, if any?

Well so far, I haven't had any great contributions (yet), but I have been honoured to serve Wintreath, as it's Ambassador in many other regions From what I've been told, the regions I've served in...Have been delighted by my good work, on promoting Wintreathean policy there.

2) What do you feel are Wintreath's current strengths and weaknesses when it comes to foreign affairs?

Well I do believe, that FA should serve a higher role inside Wintreath and outside, one of the weaknesses is its own inactivity, in ambassadors and topics on our Embassies, through out NS. Some of it's own strengths are, the diplomatic solutions we offer to our allies and our choices, with who we ally with
A Jarl of FA, should play a vital role, on making the Ambassadors feel pleasant to work for Wintreath and also, give excellent sollutions when it comes to foreign policy

3) What is your complete vision for Wintreath's foreign affairs if you obtain the position?

My complete vision? That's hard to say...
As I said before, to change and shake things a little bit...I believe it is time to turn FA into an active place...and why not, ask the help of our own citizens? All these new citizens could be involved here...and also try to get closer and attract as many regions as we can My vision is of a Ministry that is gonna totally change the shape of Wintreath as it comes to Foreign Affairs.

4) If you were to obtain the position, what would be the very first thing you would focus on?

Well to turn the Ministry from inactive to active...Organising "Greet&Meet" Meetings with the current officers and also, try to instruct them, on how to make our Embassies throughout NS active...This could be accomplished with the co-operation  of the Jarl of Culture as well, on introducing festivals etc...through an Embassy Invitation

5) What are the qualifications, skills, experience, and talents that you feel you uniquely bring to the table?

Well my sex appeal first off...
This is the first time I am really devoted into smth, that great inside NS. I believe my leadership skills, and my group skills could do the trick... I believe that it is vital to listen to what your ambassadors have to say and act in cold-blood. When it comes to Wintreath, you've got to think for the hole and not just individuals...You can't  please them all, but you can work with all. I want to hear to the citizens voices first off...and choose proper individuals to do the job that I will appoint to them. Also I want always to represent smth fresh and new...as I want, Wintreath to become a popular region, even more that it already is...by creating and making a decent Ministry

No I don't...I am 100% devoted to the crown of Wintreath.

Well, this is the second time I candidate for this possition. So I don't really know, what to say... I am here to serve Wintreath as always. Despite the arguments that I had with some of Wintreath's crew...I've always been devoted and humble to Wintreath's Monarch and the Royal Family, not to mention the rest of our people inside here... I do believe that, a single person can't do the change...I believe that a person is enough in order to place a brick on the wall that is called Wintreath, together we can all accomplish great things
So I think, thats all I have to add for now

Also, even if I don't obtain the possition, I do love everybody inside here, and I want you all guys to know, that despite our conflicts, our words etc...You all have taken a special place in my heart...Cause this is what a family it is right?
We argue, we talk back...but in the end, we all are here for each other... And I want to thank all those people that have supported me in my difficult moments So...

None, except my sexy.
2) What do you feel are Wintreath's current strengths and weaknesses when it comes to foreign affairs?
Strengths-
We are friendly, sexy, and most of us smell good. 
Weaknesses-
We are a bit of a hermit region, having very few cosmopolitans (like myself! )
3) What is your complete vision for Wintreath's foreign affairs if you obtain the position?
I would envision cutting ties with those that we don't share a true 'diplomatic' relationship with. It would entail simplifying the Embassy structure to those that actively share ambassadors with us. What's the point of being friends if we aren't actually "friends"?

4) If you were to obtain the position, what would be the very first thing you would focus on?
Cutting the aforementioned ties and spreading the word on how awesome we are.

5) What are the qualifications, skills, experience, and talents that you feel you uniquely bring to the table?
I have been playing Nation States on and off for close to 10 years, having visited many different regions, and I am charismatic

Hehe, you said duty.
I currently serve as Home Secretary for the British Isles, I recently resigned from my office as Vice Chancellor of the FRA.

Do not seriously consider me for this position, I would love to...but honestly do not have the time to properly devote to it.

1) What have your contributions been to Wintreath's diplomatic relations thus far, if any?
I've served as an Ambassador to a couple of regions.  I am still interested in being an ambassador elsewhere.  I am currently TEP's ambassador to this region.

2) What do you feel are Wintreath's current strengths and weaknesses when it comes to foreign affairs?
Strengths:
- New region still, so plenty of potential for many contacts, and possible alliances
- Defender region, so many contacts in the defender community for military operations
- Can utilise ties from people who used to be in Spiritus government to add to more regions to seek ties with.

Weaknesses:
- New Region, so not many contacts with many regions abroad.
- Not enough members so not enough ambassadors to cover regions or explore possible ties.

3) What is your complete vision for Wintreath's foreign affairs if you obtain the position?
I envision a Wintreath that is active enough in the defender community that can be seen as one of the main defender pillars, almost to the level of say, XKI and TITO.  I feel that Wintreath can help usher in a new era of defender unity, where we accept people and work together to help achieve our defender goals, and let personal feelings not get in the way of operations, from being allowed to serve as a liaison, to being able to be in other region military's channels for operations.

4) If you were to obtain the position, what would be the very first thing you would focus on?
I would help ensure we have ambassadors that are active, and that we have active embassies.  I would also make sure regions we have embassies with are also active.  I would also look into possible alliances with other defender regions, or even possible military exercises with other defender regions.

I would also be open to the idea of opening ties with raider regions if we have not already.  We should also not be opposed to having ties with raider UCRs just because we defend. 

5) What are the qualifications, skills, experience, and talents that you feel you uniquely bring to the table?
I have served as a Foreign Minister, Ambassador, Junior Foreign Minister, and Deputy Foreign Minister in various regions.  My NS foreign affairs experience goes back to when I first started defending in 2007.  I have experience in many regional governments.

Is there anything additional you would like to add that you feel should kept in mind when considering your application?
I would be willing to serve as Thane, as I really want to help improve in foreign affairs, as this is one of the areas I am really passionate about, and I really hope I get picked either way in either position.  People may not always agree with me, but I know people know I am very experienced, and I wish to contribute my skills and experience to Wintreath.  I understand that my reputation may be of concern, but I feel that my skills and experience in foreign affairs may be able to make up for it, and if picked as a Thane, I can help advise the new Jarl of foreign affairs matters as best as I am able.
