Would anyone here be interested in a realistic, historic RP?

My thought is a family of Italian immigrants circa 1929, just before the great depression. With enough interest, I'll generate a great plot/backstory for it.

Oh my god I was going to propose a similar RP with a German family living through the years of the Weimar Republic.

Both of those sound really interesting. Weimar era Germany is really fascinating to look at and roleplay for, although a lot of people over-estimate how bad it was for Germans.

I'm not sure I'd have time to do another RP, and I'm not sure I'm into a historical thing, but I would like to hear more just to consider...

I am actually sort of interested in this. I don't know if I'll be able to commit to it. But it looks fun.

  I'd be interested in this...would have to create another character to add to my list of permanent characters here...but I'll givee it a go...never tried a historic rp before.

First of all, I'd like to say this sounds nothing like my best work, this is what I can push out entering my 42nd hour without sleep, so in advance, I'm sorry.

It is 25 March, 1929. One day after Benito Mussolini secured another victory as the leader of the sole legal party. His unrelenting thirst for control of his citizen's lives has been driving everyone mad for the last three years. The madness has everyone seeking a better life elsewhere.

The US of A is a very tempting place for your family. The images of the hustle and bustle and personal freedoms that reach you through the grapevine are constantly playing on your mind. Sometime over the next few months your family decides. No one says it out loud at first, but the whole family knows what has to happen.

You spend the next few months getting everything together for the journey. Finally, on the 1st of October, you set out for the land of a better tomorrow.

October 15th, you arrive to chase the American dream.

Two weeks later, that dream turns into a nightmare. The stock market crashes, every working member of your family has been laid off, and the bills are piling up. This is America though, anything can happen.

This roleplay is gritty, dark, and realistic. There may be elements of abuse, sexual misconduct, and other violence. You have been warned.

Relation in the family: (father, daughter, etc.)
Character backstory: (a few sentences about your character and what they did back in Italy)
American Dream: (what your character's biggest goal is)
