This is the question for week two of my journaling prompt experiment to see if there's interest in starting an actual group. If you'd like to read more about it and see what last week's prompt was, feel free to check it out here!

This week's question is What do you look for in a girlfriend/boyfriend/significant other/partner? 

I've only had one, but I'd say, in no particular order:

- We make each other happy
- We enjoy talking to each other
- We encourage each other to become better people
- We are compatible in terms of physical needs (both sexual and non-sexual)
- We share similar (but not necessarily the same) values
- We find each other physically attractive
- We are able to do many things together while still giving each other the space for our own hobbies and social lives
- We are able to talk through and deescalate conflict in a mature manner
- We have similar living requirements and dietary needs
- We comfort each other
- We have compatible mid- to long-term life plans
- We have compatible financial situations
- We are able to deal with each others' family situations
