We have a unique perspective on this, cause...well, we're here, aren't we? But what do you think it is about anthropomorphic animals that attract people to the scene?

I think it might be an escape, I mean, being an animal sounds so much better than being a human. Also I think its like how people make human OCs to portray how they want to be, but ours just happen to be animals ^^

@Gausburg: You could be right...in a way, fursonas could be the 'person' they really want to be. I've noticed that a lot of fursonas and furry characters in general are outgoing, cheerful, and fun. Which I guess people want to be.
