Our First Publication
Good greetings to all of our readers, both Svipish and international! We are incredibly proud to publish our first Uppsalakyrslan beyond our glorious nation, allowing those across Wintreath and the world to know of our news, events, and announcements, in the same manner our citizens do. As per our national publishing schedule, our publications are released every second Thursday of the month. With this all being said, we here at Uppsalakyrslan are grateful for your viewership and hope that our content will not only be satisfactory, but also intriguing and enjoyable to our readers, both locally and globally. Closure of The Svipish National Network
In pursuit of his plan to further Svipjoth's technological modernization and to promote both cooperation with and exposure to the rest of the world, Fylkir Pjotur II has made massive progress this morning with the passing of The Internet Act, which abolishes the Svipish National Network (SNN) and replaces it with the global internet. This act is a tremendous blow to the Birkibeinar platform, while the Baglarr are in celebration across the nation and the SNN alike. Although it remains to be seen how much the Svipish government will regulate or legislate the internet, this newfound access has granted new civil rights upon our nation, as well as greater opportunity with international collaboration and innovation.


The XXURBANXX Embargo
Only a mere 48 hours ago did the Svipish-Urbanian hostility intensify, with XXURBANXX declaring a complete embargo of all trade, military, and citizen travel from all nations affiliated with WARPP, with the exceptions of Sakiria and Uniopolis.
"I am not concerned over this action and neither should the Svipish people," states Solvarr Snorrison, the Advisor of Foreign Affairs, during a public press conference, "We have had an established embargo and bidirectional travel ban on XXURBANXX many months prior. Their reciprocation should not be a surprise, nor seen by the Svipish people as a proper threat to either their safety or well-being."
This has been the most recent event in the deteriorating relationship between WARPP and The Coalition, everything prior accumulating into the XXURBANXX embargo against WARPP and its individual nations. The relationship between WARPP and The Coalition has been and continues to be severely damaged, and if either side seeks reconciliation, then it would seemingly take much work and collaboration.

The 1st Annual Wintreath Fair: A Retrospective
Just two weekends ago did Riksraad representative, Henrik Svaenningsson, organize and create the 1st annual Wintreath Fair, a regional celebration of Wintreath and every nation's culture within, hosted in Wintermoot City. It was a satisfactory success, with many nations showing off their culture. The Wintreath Fair additionally offered a Food Competition, in which each nation submitted a meal for the Frozen Monarch himself to sample; whichever His Highness favored the most, the nation wins a cash prize as well as the award of Best Food in Wintreath, 2022.
Seeking to represent the working class of Svipjoth in their cuisine, the diplomats that represented Svipjoth in Wintermoot City served Plokkfiskur (fish soup with potato dumplings, finely-chopped root vegetables, and haddock fillets in a Béchamel broth) with Hvatrbraud (Dark rye bread slices baked by the geothermal heat of a natural hot spring) and Sveidgr (Alcoholic spirit distilled from Ulvferskja). While impressive to the Frozen Monarch, it was The Stigyan Triumvirate that won with their surf-and-turf dish, with Svipjoth ranking second.
