I would applaud the Underhusen for taking up the issue of a legal code since it is one of the more important items on our regions agenda. However I question the timing of its introduction given the rapid approach of fresh elections of the Underhusen. I by no means want the idea yo be shelved, but it would be prudent to not rush this item to passage before the polls open or close. Particularly since the Storting has had a full term to take this up, and has only done so now...

Not only that, but it seems that the proposed legal code is almost completely copied and pasted from Spiritus. It's cool to use another region's laws as a reference, but copying most of the laws and formatting is kinda meh. =/

I'm no expert in legislation, but perhaps there could be something to prevent this (attempting to rush new legislation on the brink of elections) from happening in the future...

Why don't we make a new legal code

I'll draft a formal petition this evening and hopefully we can get this addressed. Rushing it isn't my problem now. If it was copied, that is plagiarism.

I put a non binding resolution up for people to sign if they agree on this issue. I have also asked Denth to remove the bill from consideration in the Storting. There isn't much else aside from an up or down vote that we can do.

I've been away~ish the last day or so because I've had work, school, and sleep. When I was writing this bill, I had three or four different versions, and the one that was posted should not have been posted. I had intended on proposing a separate bill, but I was hurried when I had to go to Lunch and accidently posted the wrong one. I've removed the bill from the floor and I will introduce the correct form of the bill when I'm home (After school and a trip to the Doctor's).

Can I ask that you delay it until the second session, as that is now of primary concern.

That's great news, Denth...I'm glad to hear that this legislation that isn't up to your usual high standards wasn't meant to see the light of day.
