    This has happened twice now and I'm starting to wonder why.

    A couple days ago, a user called "theultimatewilly" logged on to the server for the first time, and logged off within a minute, not answering my welcome. He hasn't been back since.

    A few minutes ago, another unknown user, named "Darkay08" logged in, ran around spawn for a minute, stopped in front of the Robin train station, and logged off.

    Am I being paranoid? Are these Wintreathians? Where are they coming from, and what is it that immediately sends them away?

    Possibly bots? Trolls or possibly well-intentioned random people annoyed that they can't do anything?

    Not whitelisted, it's just that you can only walk around until being approved.

    One of them (MickinBlik) actually talked today. He said he was Dutch, asked what the server was, and apparently didn't know what Nationstates was. He left pretty quick. Where are they getting the IP address?

    I had a similar experience with xMrAGYT. He popped on, said he was Italian, died, and then left. twas strange.

    Apparently we were listed on Planet Minecraft. However, all the mysterious visitors reported it as whitelisted. Someone claiming to be from Planet Minecraft logged in, ruled it greylisted, and said he would email the owner in the next 72 hours requesting updated information.

    That's...odd. We've never listed with Planet Minecraft or any other toplist. I tried to look up the server or the IP on that site, but nothing came up...could someone link me to it on there if they see it listed?

    It seems like this all started when we received a dedicated IP as part of the memory upgrade. I'm wondering if maybe it was recycled from another server.

    Edit: I believe that's what has happened. After reviewing the server chat log, I came across the entry for "Vehicle Empires": https://www.planetminecraft.com/server/land-of-the-dudes-vehicle-empires-4041004/. It was submitted to Planet Minecraft on January 15th, and when I ping play.land-of-the-dudes.net it returns our server IP address.
