And I think I shall vote for Katie. While I know that Chanku is an experienced hand, why not give newer members some experience? And as OOL, Katie did a fine job so I have no doubts she will excel as Speaker.

I vote Chanku. As much as I think Katie would make a great speaker, I think she would be even better as OOI.

As much as I would love to be speaker, It dawned on me that I'm currently in the middle of the semester waist-deep in 4000-level classes and Student Government. It would just be too stressful for me and I don't know if I want to give up a position I love, Officer of Information, for such an unknown future. If I had voted this morning or yesterday, I wouldn't have made this realization and I might have been diving headfirst into something I wasn't ready for.

I'm voting this way to both break the tie, and to allow Katie to remain in her position as Officer of Information, as her vote seems to indicate she wants to do.

Well, that was certainly unexpected, I think.
