Wintreath Underhusen Special Election
Nominate and Stand for Election!

Here you may nominate someone for or stand for election to fill the vacant seat in the Underhusen for the remainder of the term. As stated in the Fundamental Laws only Citizens of Wintreath can be nominated for or stand for elections. Once you have stood for election, you may begin campaigning by creating a topic in this forum.

Elections will begin 6 days from the time of this post, on 12 September 2018.

There's still three days to stand if someone would like to be part of the remaining term.

While a half-term would be a great way of getting my metaphorical feet metaphorically wet, I'm declining my nomination as well.

I accept my nomination.

I decline my nomination. A runoff election on top of the already lengthy nomination process would take so long the session would be practically over before anyone got into office.
To be clear about the signals we are sending though, it is solely for that reason I am not either running or contesting - a contested election is generally a good thing, but should that happen in a special election I think the negative aspect of 'time spent without a member of the UH' outweighs the positives of 'having a contest'.

Good that you accepted the nomination though, the only reason I held off either accepting or declining was to ensure we actually had a candidate for the office.

With only one person standing for election, Crushita wins by default! Congrats to him.
