  •  I recently joined Nationstates.net as a Nation and very recently moved to Wintereath because I wanted to be in a snow based region and this looked like fun.

Granted, I have no idea of what to do almost and I don't know who to turn to. Can someone help or give a basic synopsis of what to do and why I'm getting so many telegrams about moving regions. I don't really understand that.

       So far, so good though.

My Nations name is Celentien by the way and thank you.

  • Have you appliedfor citizenship yet?

And about the TGs (telegrams): new nations get spammed like crazy when they join by other regions looking to recruit. You could disable these telegrams in your settings. I'll edit this later with the precise method for doing so.

    Welcome to NationStates and Wintreath.

  • Snow is so fun, isn't it? Welcome to Wintreath! ^.^

Unfortunately, regions have to spam new nations because it's the only way that they can grow, and the NationStates staff have only encouraged this. When I started about three years ago, I only received three telegrams...but now with the ability to pay for autorecruitment and stuff, well, you see how many you're getting. :p

For what it's worth, almost all of our recruitment telegrams are sent manually by a person. :)

To answer your question, NationStates is pretty much what you make of it...at its most basic level, all you do is answer your issues and they change your national stats. You can also join the World Assembly and vote on issues that come before it if you want. This...gets kinda boring after awhile, so over time people have added more to the game through regional stuff such as this. Here you can apply for Citizenship, which allows you to participate in our regional government, you can interact with other regionmates and do things with them...from casual conversation to RP to gaming, and more. :)
