As I was taking some screenshots to show what I like about the new colony, I realized that there wasn't a screenshot topic dedicated to the Minecraft server, so I decided to rectify that.

When I was exploring with Colberius and saw that image, I knew that this was one of the best places for a colony I'd ever seen...the clearing, the forests behind it in all directions, and those mountains off in the distance? I don't think I've seen such a picturesque scene in Minecraft before. It also has a coast which I hope will eventually house a small dock, and a crevice off to the side that should make for some awesome adventuring!

In the foreground is my house...since I see this is a colony of modest houses and farms, I tried to keep mine small and stylish, but not extravagant. Unlike the Great Hall in Wintreath, this will be the center of my simpler endeavors such as farming, fishing, adventuring, and exploring. In the background is the House of Refuge that Colberius built, where adventurers take breaks and craft supplies they need or just spend the night.

This is the same view from the roof of my house! In trying to keep it modest, I decided to have a roof deck accessible by ladder instead of a second floor, which keeps down the size of the house and makes for an awesome place to have parties and stuff...if we ever have MC parties.

We should definitely have Minecraft parties.

Excellent screenshots! What texture pack do you use?

I'll post some of my better screenshots when I get home. I have quite a few collected in my travels, though since they were made for my own use, I have my hotbar and F3 menu open.

This is the view from the peak of my fjord home. I first explored this place in June, and later returned to build/live here in August. My home is visible in the bottom right corner.

The next two pictures are taken with smooth lighting and fog both off, and debug mode on. This first one is of the relatively nearby Savanna M, before I built any trails, from another nearby mountain. I was at 5 FPS in this screenshot, a combination of both my system specs and the terrain rendering.

Wintermoot, a while back, you told me that you never leave Wintreath's borders. Was that meant jokingly or seriously?

I don't remember that conversation, but I'm sure I wasn't completely serious...I've left them before to check out Chanku and Reon's areas outside of Wintreath before. However, I'm not really the explorer type, so I don't think I'd spend much time adventuring outside...I'm more into building things.

@taulover, @BraveSirRobin, & @xXTheHydraXx: It's John Smith Legacy 1.8.8. I really like it, especially with the Wintreath server. 

My last project in Minecraft. Sorry about the low quality...I'm still figuring out the quality settings in Open Broadcaster Software.

OMG Wintermoot how long did that take to build!!?? 

I would guess just the digging took about a week...8-10 hours of work. That's not including gathering the materials for the rails, some of which I already had, some I got from the tunnel itself, and some I had to get from elsewhere.
