You can't have a guild without titles and ranks.

Crushita Telcontar has given me the idea to base our ranks on the Roman Catholic Church's, but we can definitely discuss it here too.

This topic is for any suggestions to be made regarding our ranks.

You'd think people might be more interested in their titles and ranks.

The sky is the limit here, people. I've been thinking that we could create our own ranks based on Wintreath too.

Also, We might consider going for the illuminati, the knight's templar, the jedi... anything, really.

I'd be interested in hearing some other ideas, but I guess I'd need to hear some of the actual title/rank names. Also, how many titles/ranks will there be?

I was thinking we'd add some as we came up with jobs that needed doing. It's kinda pointless to think of 50 different ranks straight out of the gate.

Ah, yeah that makes sense, especially since there are only like 10 of us if you include the Riksråd members of Culture. I have a couple ideas, but I'm kind of biased as they come from my love of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Morrowind has a bunch of factions, each with 10 ranks (again, we'd only use a few at first unless it's decided to use more, but they'd at least already be made up for us). The Tribunal Temple and Imperial Cult are similar to the Roman Catholic thing we have now. The two both have the same lower ranks: Layman, Novice, Initiate, Acolyte, Adept. The Tribunal Temple's higher ranks are Curate, Disciple, Diviner, Master, Patriarch, and the Imperial Cult's are Disciple, Oracle, Invoker, Theurgist, Primate.

The Imperial Knights are similar to the Knights Templar and their ranks go: Aspirant, Squire, Gallant, Chevalier, Keeper, Knight Brother, Commander, Marshal, Seneschal, Paladin.

In Fallout the Brotherhood of Steel have a similar theme as well, but there's no real standardized ranking system. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_of_Steel_ranks

I also like the idea of using the Jedi ranks, which would be a more simplified system: Initiate/Youngling, Apprentice/Padawan, Knight, Master. The head of the guild could be called Grand Master and the Riksråd members of Culture could be Councilors, while other members of note could be Guardians, Sentinels, and Consulars.

Or we could just borrow some of these titles to add to and create our own ranking system. We could also, as you said, create a Wintreath-themed one, though I don't know many more than the titles currently being used by our government.
