Since the feedback was unanimously in favor of keeping this, I'll be bringing i back and hopefully we get more out of it. 

As usual, you are allowed to nominate any games that you feel your other fellow Wintreans should try out, as long as they are accessible to most of us. Such games include classic games (eg. GBA , PS1, N64, Dreamcast), flash/java/web games (kongregate.com), free MMO games (onRPG), mobile games and PC games that are easily obtainable. Also, please keep it legal if any of the nominated games have a price tag (aka no illegal downloading).

Nominations will last until September 4th, and the voting will begin immediately after that.

Here are some of our past winners.  Remember that you can re-nominate past winners if you feel we should give them another go:

I nominate This War Of Mine.

I think before we nominate we need to stop and collaborate...if your game wins, how will you promote it and get activity going around it? After our chat last month we need to be more mindful of how we can make games of the month community events instead of just throwing games out there.

And I'm going to take the lazy route and nominate Civilization V, seeing that we already have a community activity around it and it's a game a lot of people here play. It's got its flaws, and multiplayer can be buggy, but it's a fun and challenging game on MP.

Well, we don't necessarily need to play this game, do we? If so, I withdraw my nomination. TWOM is a great game but not a really communal type game.

Instead, I nominate Fistful of Frags. Its a free online shooter based in the wild west so it should be great :]

I nominate Dwarf Fortress. I would be happy to provide plenty of links to help people learn, and show them the game if they are interested, and once people learn, we can do a community fort, where a person plays a year in a fort then passes it on to the next person in the list.

We don't necessarily need to play the game, but remember last month we talked about how not much is usually done with the game of the month and how we can change that. And you know, there's ways to get the community involved and talking even if it isn't multiplayer...although multiplayer is probably easier to get people involved in.

I am going to nominate "Crusader Kings 2", it's not a free game in fact with all its DLC its pretty expensive. But I have (what I think is) a fun idea for what to do in order to make it interesting, even for those that don't have the game.

I was thinking I play the game throught the month, and document what goes on, I haven't decided yet whether to do it in character (of some description) or to just say what happens, but either way its meant to be entertaining .

Also I'd break it up with choices that the region can make, my first idea was a method similar to NS issues with each choice represented by an advisor of some description saying why it's the best choice or I could do it another way but I think you get the gist!

Don't know if this will beat the ever popular Dwarf Fortress, which I myself love, but I had this idea and I thought it would be cool to try out.

I think it sounds like an awesome idea as well...in effect it becomes like a choose your own adventure thing, and maybe we'll learn more about the game in the process.

Dwarf Fortress looks rather complex. I'm taking a look at some videos and I guess I kinda get the idea behind it.
