So basically this team created a robot that couldn't move with the goal of hitchhiking across the country. It successfully crossed Canada in 26 days, but was found decapitated less than two weeks after trying the same in the US.

America! Great country! Friendly people! Or something...

Really pretty shameful. To all the non-Americans reading this - we do actually have a great country to visit. Just not Philly. Stay away from Philly.

But it's the city of brotherly love

Nothing good has come out of that city except for The Roots and my friends Kyle and Rachel.

Unfortunately, I'm not really surprised.  If they had started in Washington, it'd be a different story, but there are just some areas that you avoid like the plague, whether you be human or robot. 

So, reading all of the updates from the article, they state that the video was clearly a prank done by vloggers, and that it's unknown whether they actually destroyed the real HitchBOT or if it was a fake.  Though it's clear that even if THEY didn't, someone else did, as shown on here:  http://factually.gizmodo.com/vloggers-faked-a-surveillance-video-but-did-they-destr-1721980896

So...maybe they did it as a prank and someone else destroyed him or maybe they really did it at some point...doesn't really paint a rosier picture though, lol. It says all the electronics were missing...could someone have done it to steal them? I wonder what electronics they were...
