Recruitment email. You were actually my first one, and I looked at about the first ten, then chose Wintreath.

1) Are there any particular areas of our region you would like to become involved in?
Not particularly, though I'd love to have a go at everything. I'm still getting the hang of this site. Eventually I'd like to get into regional politics and whatnot, but for now I'm just feeling my way around.

I'm a very new player still finding my feet in a world that's apparently much bigger than the one I'm used to. I love the idea of this game, and am keen as anything to get into it. Bring on the winter!

Actually, I'd like to know a bit about this invasion business. Can we really just get captured by some random group of trolls? And do we raid others in return?

Hehe...I already like you. You remind me of me when I was new to NS and first joined a region.

To answer your question, it's possible but unlikely that raiders would invade Wintreath. Our delegate has so many endorsements that such a raid would take a considerable amount of effort, and since we are a foundered region I could just kick them all out. However, any regions that have been made founderless either because their founder was deleted for inactivity or because the region is a game-created region, is fair game. As a defender region, we don't participate in raids outside of warzones, which were specifically created for militaries to use for training. We do participate in liberation of regions though, where we attempt to take back the region from raiders and return it to the native regional community.

And a question in turn...you state that you don't have a WA nation. Is there any particular reason you've choose not to join the WA?

Ah, that makes sense. I wondered how you were supposed to do raids at all if the Founder could just negate everything.
No reason, I just haven't joined yet. Do most people join? The FAQ says that if you join, the decisions of the WA affect your nation, but how does that work if it's some obscure thing like having compulsory shelter for all citizens?

Well, I should point out that you don't have to join to become a Citizen in Wintreath, but I was just curious. The WA decisions do have an impact on your nation's stats, but nothing that actually effects your game play...for example, a resolution to improve the environment may slightly improve your environment stat and slightly decrease your business or economy stat.
