Name: Alexander Anselmo
Description: The Emperor of Rokkenjima and Prince of Littlebrook, part-time school teacher and former Manager of the Rokkenjiman National Football team. Married Beatrice in 2014 and has two children, Adriana and Lucius.
Question 1) What's your favorite pizza topping?Hawaiian. Or meat feast. Or half and half.
Question 2) Sticking with food what's your food heaven and food hell?My food heaven would be rare fillet steak, topped with triple peppercorn sauce and accompanied by thick spicy chips and…peas. The latter not being necessary. My food hell would be a beetroot and coleslaw salad..
Question 3) What was your favorite subject at school and why? think across the years my favourite subject was always history. I just…loved learning about what people had done throughout the ages and why things changed. Later on, as I got older, I definitely took an interest in politics — oh what am I saying, my favourite subject was sex ed. No matter what anyone says, a teenage kid's favourite lesson is always sex ed. Though history was a close second."
Question 4) Snog, Marry, Avoid: Renee Sandiego, Erin Osman and Jennifer Chasteen-Boyd? And again for King David Ironside, Archon Joshua Rhodes, Emperor Daryen RhysUm, I think I’d snog Renee. Err…I’d probably snog Joshua, too, but it’d need to be in front of Evanthe. I’d definitely marry Jennifer, and probably David, too – I heard he’s good with his sword. But I’d avoid Erin like the plague, and Daryen Rhys, I like the guy but he’s too…One Direction for me.
Question 5) You get to ask a genie one question. It doesn't matter what you ask, but you will get a 100% honest and truthful answer – what would you ask?How can I be a better father and husband? Or does that count as two?
Question 6) At home what do you do to unwind?Unwind? What does that mean? I’m an Emperor, Prince, teacher, husband and father of two young children. I’d love to be able to unwind. Though I’d probably spend the day on Reddit. Or porn. Or GTA.
Question 7) What are your favorite book and film?Overall I’d say my favourite book and film series are the Harry Potter books – especially books 3 and 6. As for films…y’know that’d be Harry Potter again. Although standalone…I love Love, Actually at Christmas time, and of course nothing can beat Toy Story or How To Train Your Dragon.
Question Who do you consider to be your closest friends outside Rokkenjima?Well…this is difficult because I dragged many of my friends from Dartfordia to Rokkenjima – Harry for example. He was the Foreign Secretary until he pointed a gun at Stalin…but then he came to Rokkenjima with me. I have a few friends from school and university I keep in touch with, including my ex-girlfriend who hated me at a point. I’ve got my sister, too — she’s amazing. But I s’pose outside my ‘circle’ I’ve made some good friendships with Jenny [Chasteen-Boyd], King David, the Azurewinds, and a…unique relationship with Joshua Rhodes.
Question 9) What possessed you to take up teaching?I love it! It’s great. Even if the kids can be a pain in the proverbial, it’s great being able to open their eyes to the wonders and perils of the world. And also I needed a ‘real job’, apparently. But I enjoy it.
Question 10) What did it feel like to coach a team to the quarter finals of a World Cup?(even if your nation of birth did lose in the final)Bloody awful. The experience nearly killed me. The lads were fantastic, as were the fans. But I didn’t let-up on my Imperial duties, so I was working 7am-11pm every day for nearly a month. As much as I love football and Rokkenjima, I don’t think I’ll be doing it again.
Question 11) What's it like to be married to the most powerful person on Mundus?Interesting, definitely. I mean Beatrice is fantastic. The most wonderful person in the world. And she’s often portrayed very differently in the media than how she is in real-life. But I guess that comes with celebrity status. Overall it’s nice. I wouldn’t change it for the world. She’s the best person suited for the role of most powerful person on Mundus.
Question 12) What does it take for you to be serious about anything considering your high profile antics on several diplomatic visits?I am serious about a lot of things. My family, for one. The internal political situation in Rokkenjima — most notably the recent change in its constitution. I take that, and similar matters in Dartfordia, very seriously. But honestly? Life shouldn’t be taken too seriously. I have the next seventy years to sit down and act like a diplomatic mastermind, so why should I do it now? So for as long as I’m a Consort and not a reigning monarch, I think I can kick back and have some fun. Though I’m very serious about flags. And people who insult Doctor Who. These sorts of people do not see happy Alex.
