"Consulate" of The Communist Region

This region had relations with Wintreath before our policy of providing a topic consulate for non-allied regions. This "consulate" consists of threads from this region's former embassy merged together to serve as an archive, so that it can be accessed as part of our current system. -Wintermoot

First Constitution of The Communist Region passed!

After days of negotiations between citizens and 4 days of voting, the first constitution of The Communist Region was passed.

The Results are as follows:
Approve - 12 votes - 75%
Disapprove - 2 votes - 12.5%
Abstain - 2 votes - 12.5%

The Constitution, written by Comrade Zenny with much help from 8 other citizens including Delegate RCF and multiple ministers, sets up the basic foundation for a system that will largely broaden the Peoples power in TCR at the expense of more traditional power figures of The Communist Region's past, such as the Founder New CSSR and Delegate RCF, who have both graciously given up many roles in favor of the people, who they both tirelessly work for!
Some key parts of the Constitution include:

• Article 2, Section A: All people within The Communist Region will hold the freedoms of religion, expression, association, as well as belief and speech.
• Article 7, Sections A-E:

7a. All citizens on the forum will automatically be apart of the Peoples Democratic Assembly.
7b. The Premier shall not be allowed to vote or hold membership in the Peoples Democratic Assembly
7c. The Assembly will have the ability to impeach the Delegate, the Assembly Chairperson, or any Minister.
7d. The Assembly will have the ability to approve or deny treaty proposals with other regions with a simple majority vote.
7e. The Assembly will have the ability to declare war on other regions with a 2/3 majority vote.

• Article 6, Section E: Only citizens may vote in any election.

While there was much debate over certain proposals in the new constitution, the TCR has never been more unified in the belief that we will grow and achieve much more in the months ahead. The people are ready to work hard in the new legislature with many issues to tackle.

Activity Soars!

As the glorious TCR settles into a new political system and way of life, the forum has blossomed into life with hundreds of new posts and tens of new citizens. The government is focusing many resources on foreign relations and the cultural development of the TCR. Multiple embassies have been opened including Lazarus, Europeia, and Wintreath with Comrade Zenny serving as ambassador. Foreign Affairs Minister Norse Empire has stated that he will take a more active role in the regions foreign policy shortly after the holidays.

The government has opened up many new sections in our forum, many to establish a solid cultural sector within The Communist Region: Discussion areas, spam games, a music hub, and RP forums just to name a few. The people will strive forward and make sure that this progress and developement is not halted!

TCR Making Great Gains In Graphics!

The government is considering opening up a graphics department with the addition of Comrade Kovatsk to our ranks. Kovatsk, a part time graphics & web designer, has been taking requests from anyone willing to give them in TCR. He first displayed his talents in discussions about possibly changing TCR's regional flag, surprising many citizens. Comrades Delegate RCF and Premier New CSSR had nothing but praise for this fine citizen and contributor. Delegate RCF stated that " I think you would be helpful to myself, CSSR, and the region in general!".

Comrade Kovatsk is also the founder of the Communist Security Party (CSP), the 2nd registered party in TCR, behind the Democratic Action Front run by Comrade Zenny. The CSP's mission statement is "To work together in the interests of national security of all member states. To ensure all citizens and peoples of member states are protected and secured by the rule of Communist law." The TCR as a whole is very excited to see what this citizens future holds.

Sounds like things are going great! It's nice to hear from other regions that are just finishing up their Constitutions and getting a real government going. I wish The Communist Region continued success in building up the region and becoming a major power.

Today the Premier/Founder has ruled that a Constitution is not needed, and that he intends to rule by himself.
The Delegate, myself, and 6 others have decided we no longer wish to be apart of an autocracy and have left The Communist Region for a new region.

I deeply apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but I must request that our embassy be closed as there will not be another foreign update or ambassador, as they wish to run things off the RMB instead of a forum.

I'm sorry to hear that there seems to be so much trouble in The Communist Region. I'm looking into the matter and following up on this request, and will post further regarding the status of this asap.

I chatted with the founder, and he indicated that this request to close embassies was not authorized. Therefore, embassies will remain.

I understand how contentious divisions can be in a region though. Wintreath was founded because of such a division in another region, and look how we have prospered. I wish you the best of luck with The Communist Bloc and all future endeavors, and feel free to apply for embassies with us from there if you'd like.

I appreciate your foresight, but diplomatic protocol and all.

Not sure how a leader can claim to be communist, and then usurp control of the region from it's own citizenship...

Official Notice of Embassy Closure

It is with deepest regret that Wintreath must announce the closure of embassies with The Communist Region.

While we hope to have solid, productive relations with all of our diplomatic partners, we must note that The Communist Region has not sent us a new ambassador in several months, and that the forums of The Communist Region do not appear to allow posts to be made to embassy forums. This would appear to make effective relations between our regions impossible, and as a small, upcoming region we must focus our valuable diplomatic staff on regions which are in contact with us. Of course, should the issues listed previously be resolved, Wintreath would be glad to review an application to reopen embassies and resume diplomatic relations.

Until then, we wish The Communist Region all the best in its future endeavors.
