I didn't want to simply disappear from the region in totality. And it's become clear my presence in the region is now untenable.
Originally my intent was a break from discord to get my head together before coming back and trying to approach leadership about how I've been feeling for several months now. I didn't think it would be a good idea nor necessary to speak about my leave especially given my state of mind.
Clearly I was wrong. However I think the base reason for my leave was valid and continues to be valid. I think moderation in the region needs reform and I believe the continuing dismissal of any attempt to broach the topic is harmful and disheartening.
I want to make it abundantly clear that my issue is not that I am not getting my way. My issue is that any attempt to broach a topic of legitimate concern in the region is hand waved dismissed and ignored. My issue is not that I don't win, it is that my voice is not being heard. All I want is to be able to explain my feelings and have a reasonable discussion and than if my voice is heard and the decision is the same that's okay.
It's become increasingly clear that is not currently something that can happen in the region with the current state of power.
In the event that anyone wants to approach me and have a genuine discussion I will happily have that discussion, privately or publicly. My DMs are open on discord and I will respond to any attempt to broach a discussion in good faith. I suspect however that this will not be handled in such a way.
Effective immediately I resign from Wintreath. All of my projects current and future shall be canceled.
It's truly been a wonderful experience in this region. It's the only region that's ever felt like home. It's the only region I've ever felt comfortable in.... maybe to comfortable given my reputation.
No matter what resolution may come here and on this issue I will always stand behind my love of Wintreath. I will always appreciate my time here and my experiences. Thank you for everything Wintreath.
