Alright, so this is going to be a long intro to set up setting and stuff. sorry about that.

i will be using my character as an example. to begin with there is a pool of mercury, that is in the base of a cliff. that is where you join from. little to no memories, only like how to walk and talk, and moving body parts. learning new stuff and knowledge is a big part of it. They can be taught by the others. These people do not suffer from cancer or any age-related diseases. they stay at their prime body wise. death is still possible; you can make a new character that way. Death by violent means happens (these people heal faster than normal) , starving, thirst, sickness, or falls and combat. side characters may be introduced later, by what means i am not sure yet. Dm me if you have any idea
best idea i have so far is kids of those out of the pond are normal humans. but that is because this is off of a book idea i have.

Ichosk woke up, he was cold and couldn't breathe. He felt crushed from all sides, and something tugging on his neck. The pressure got lighter and lighter, until he could see a rock in front of him. He was surrounded by a heavy silver liquid, he flipped himself over began to crawl out. he felt something tug at his neck, same side but down now. He looks at it and sees that it is some sort of white circle. He decides to ignore it for now and gets out of the pool of silver. He begins to stand up and stretch. he looks around and sees trees. He decides to look at himself as well and sees that his lower regions are covered with bandages. He looks back at the thing hanging form his neck and sees they are also the thing around his lower areas. (for any who prefer that area covered, that would not be hanging from the neck but would cover the chest.) He sees it is around his neck by some brown cordage. he takes a few steps and feels a pain in his foot. He lifts his foot up and sees a rock covered in blood. He decides to pick it up and look at it. He was confused by it so he decided to take it with him for the day.

The rest of the day he went exploring and found a nearby lake. He was able to drink some but did not eat anything yet. he was sitting in grass near the lake running the rock through the grass, and realized it cut some of the blades of grass. He has decided to keep it. As the sun started setting he returned to the pond of silver. and watched it. A full moon in the sky. (this is were you can join now)

The night passed and Ichosk slowly learned what he could do with the rock. He picked some berries he saw rabbits eating, and finally got some food. some days have passed since then and He has figured out that some rocks can be made into ones like his, sharp ones. He has since sharpened a stick into a spear and has tried to spearfish in the nearby lake. He hasn't quite caught anything yet however. Once again he decides to go sit by the pool before going to bed, he stares at the pool for awhile.

Solveig groans in pain, sluggishly lifting herself from the mercury pool until she was entirely free, celebrating her victory by laying on the forest ground with outstretched appendages and heavy breathing. After a few moments, she gains the strength to bring herself to her feet, her mind lightheaded and her eyes slightly blinded by the light. She had noticed the other mercury pool near her, its state broken, so she wondered if there was another like her before wandering aimlessly to the North.

She eventually found a river, taking the opportunity to wash the mysterious mercury liquid off of her body and out of her hair. Her eyes fixated on the moving water and the curious creatures within it before exiting the river. Feeling the call of hunger, she observed some otters breaking and eating oysters, following their examples and feasting upon the shallow water river oysters. She stayed by the river for the rest of the day, watching the sun set and the moon rise, as she then found a soft patch of grass to sleep upon.

When Ichosk woke up that morning he decided he was going to look at the silver pool more closely. He walked up to where he came out and looked at the surface. He saw that the area around where he climbed out had some sort of, thin stuff. He decided to go to the right first, circling the singular big pool. he did not find anything new, but decided to go to the cliff face. there was a large rock jutting from the ground however, and as he climbed over it trying not to disturb the surface, he saw a second smaller pool, hidden from him by the rock. it also had the missing thin stuff, and he went to investigate. He realized he was not alone, but was he the first or the second? he had not seen this pool before so he did not know. He stuck a stick in it and the small one was deep, but he could feel walls, exept in the lower area facing the big pool. there he could feel it keep going. they were only a few feet apart, so were they connected?
