Our Relocation

Since our international publishing and distribution began, we have been blessed to have gained traction across multiple nations. This greater demand, however, required our team to relocate both our headquarters to a larger building in downtown Uppsala. Unlike our smaller building, this new building supports almost quintuple the production rate of published materials, thereby depriving neither national or international readers. But while we have moved location in order to support greater production, our first thursday publishing date had to be delayed. We sincerely apologize for this delay and thank you for your patience with our expansion.

Kvenhjelm: A Kingdom No More

During the first monsoon of Southern Svipjoth, King Thorgils Freyasson of Kvenhjelm met with his advisors, alongside his only brother's daughter, Otkatla Gnupsdottir, in the moderately sized fishing village of Jelling. With a solemn but relieved expression sculpting his face and the disappointed gaze in his eyes, he signed the Thorgils-Gnup Contract, thereby splitting the once sprawling, elongated kingdom of Kvenhjelm into two smaller nations: Hedeby, residing in the Nidarossi Steppe portion of old Kvenhjelm and ruled by King Thorgils, and Kaupang, residing in the Gjorbjod Lowlands portion of old Kvenhjelm and ruled by Queen Otkatla.

This split can be traced back many centuries ago, during the Silver Era when the conquered Gaotharish tribes were assimilated under the created kingdom of Kvenhjelm. Traditionally, the Northern and Southern Gaotharish despised one another, having an extended history of blood feuds and plundering since the rulership of Gaothar. While a fragile peace was made between these Gaotharish peoples in common hatred of the Svipish Fylkirate, tensions remained strong, with North Kvenhjelm and South Kvenhjelm entirely different in every cultural and economic sense.

Recognizing this threat, King Thorgil and his brother Gnup made a blood oath that upon his death, Thorgils and Gnup's daughter Otkatla shall split Kvenhjelm in accordance to these Northern and Southern Gaotharish divides, in order to relieve this long-standing tension.

Svipjoth's First International Sports Team, the Svipish Vikings, Is Created

In anticipation for the Kiddian-hosted international football tournament, the Fylkirate of Svipjoth has sponsored the recruitment of Svipjoth's finest players across hundreds of national, regional, and local football teams, in order to create it's first international team: The Svipish Vikings. Named after the feared raiders of Svipjoth's past, both the all-male and all-female teams play with the same ferocity and rage as their ancestors have. Across Svipjoth, we cheer you on: Go Vikings!
