Wait, what? Wasn't he banned years ago?
Since Govindia was
declared persona non grata and effectively banned from Wintreath in 2018, the Discord ops team and later the Joint Moderation Group has continued to receive reports regarding his troubling behaviour from those who continued to associate with him or from people who attempted to disconnect from him. Often, this took the form of him finding their accounts on other websites and either spamming them with friends or invite requests or sending messages asking them to reconnect with him.
However, recently the Joint Moderation Group received a report that was particularly chilling, where he attempted to emotionally manipulate a Wintrean who was cutting ties with him by threatening to self-harm if they didn't talk with him. We support anyone who is struggling with mental illness, and encourage everyone who is going through those struggles to seek out the proper help they need to overcome them. However, this form of emotional blackmail is not acceptable, and is a dramatic escalation of the same behaviour that led to his revocation of Citizenship and then his persona non grata declaration: his inability to accept that people may not want to interact with him in the way that he wants, or interact with him at all, as well as his tendency to use third-parties to contact people on his behalf after they have blocked him.

While there was never any chance of Govindia returning to Wintreath given his persona non grata declarations by both the legislature and the Monarchy, we have decided to also level an administrative ban on top of those other bans, meaning that he would remain banned even if those PnG declarations were somehow lifted. After nearly 9 years since he first joined Wintreath and 5 years since he was banned, its safe to say that it's not likely that his behaviour is ever going to change for the better. Furthermore, while we have never encouraged people to not associate with banned members in the past, we must do so in this instance given his history of harassment towards those who have associated with him. I think the screenshot shows how you associate with him at your own risk.
