With the start of a Werewolf game comes another surge of activity in that area. However, that isn't the only story going on this month, with most of the general chat areas going up as well, from Ask Me Anything to the Gaming Lounge! Howling Wind Tavern had its most active month since I have monthly forum records available (January 2020). Mage Wars continued to contribute a trinkle of posts, and even forum spam was way up. Overall, almost everything was up! However, we still had fewer posts than we had a year ago because the Lil' Wolf I game from last year, which almost completely happened within March. As I said in January though, the fact that we have so much more activity outside of just Werewolf is a sign of a more varied and stable community.

Last month I wondered if Discord was in permanent decline. I guess things change, lol.

The Discord saw a miraculous recovery in March, with activity more than doubling to reach levels not seen in over a year. The general channels saw most of the boost, but #gaming saw the most activity in that channel since May 2020, #zaphyr saw the most since June 2020, and #voice-chat-text saw the most activity since October 2020. March 24th was the most active day on Discord since October 30th, 2021. To put it in perspective in another way, in February the top poster made 774 posts. This month 7 people surpassed that, and the top poster more than tripled that to 2251 posts. There's a lot of ways to slice the good news!

Most of these gaming-related boosts can be attributed the return of @Marzipan, who has personally brought gaming back to the region in a big way, especially Cards Against Humanity in #zaphyr and various games that use voice chat and the #voice-chat-text channel. Beyond that, they have also become one of the most active members of Wintreath, going from no posts last month to the 5th highest poster this month. Marzipan is credited for many of the dramatic gains we saw on Discord during the Gilded Age. Is it happening again?

Median Citizen Age: 24

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Since January, we've had 5 more Citizens with an age, but the median is the same and the average is just different by .1. The biggest change is that the mode is now shared by people who are 21 and 25, and I believe 25 is the oldest mode we've had so far. It's been a year since we started collecting age stats, and the median is 1 year older since then, so perhaps our community is aging with time.
