  • It's been 100 days since our last game of werewolf. As it is my responsibility to keep this area active, I shall bring out one of my more terrible ideas for your werewolf pleasure. Feel free to sign up, or you know, just show up when the game starts, or even during the game. Yes, that's an option. Why? Why not! Welcome to the game made from all of my absolute worst ideas!

Here's a bit of info for those of you who actually like knowing what's going on. Weirdos.

This game is perfectly vanilla. That’s right, no twists, no turns. Just a good old regular, nonsuspicious town hunting scum.
Or so it starts. You see, this game is designed to be run with players dropping in late, as there always seem to be a few, so there could be scum, there could be no scum. Not even the scum knows if there are other scum. All town has to do to win is have someone declare the town scum free, and if they are correct, every townsperson wins! Likewise, scum just has to declare the game townfree to win.
But wait, isn’t that just spyfall? No! Because this game doesn’t care about balance! It doesn’t care about fairness or winning! It just cares about getting progressively stranger!
Stranger? Of course! Although everyone is vanilla, this wouldn’t be a game designed by me if there weren’t at least three sets of hidden abilities for everyone. Hidden abilities that come with a cost. Every round, a new mechanic from a pool of both host and player generated ideas will go into effect. Each player will also receive a new ability, along with a new limitation and additional backstory to their character.
Wait, why do they need backstory? I forgot to mention that no one remembers who, or where they are, only if they want to help or harm others. An alternate way to win individually instead of as a team is to guess who you are and where the game is, and then conquer the game!
    *insert maniacal laughter here*

Anyhow. On with the signups! They'll close whenever i say they do, because who cares if you remembered to preregister, that's clearly unimportant here.

  • This sounds really interesting, although I'm worried there might be a couple of ways to break the core premise. What prevents people from just choosing one single player to be the last standing and then have that player, at the very end of the game, declare their team (presumably almost always town) the winner?

Unfortunately not an in as of yet (since I made it to Champs Finals and I don't want to multigame that) but hopefully will be able to sub in late.

Now why on earth would anyone want anyone else besides themselves to win? And who said there will be enough dying doing around to have a last one standing in a reasonable enough amount of time that anyone would wish to play?

Also, good luck with champs! When does that game finish?

    Well that sounds interesting lol.

Thanks, no firm dates yet but I'd probably expect it to finish around mid October or so.

I mean, I guess I can run with 4 players, but I don't want to.

  • I'm grateful for the renewed interest, but this game unfortunately will not be running.

However, whenever spyfall decides to conclude, Michi and I will be running a different, very special game of Werewolf for you to enjoy.
