  • You often hear of negative perceptions of gaming and gamers, like how it can be addictive or supposedly turn people into killers, but Wired had a neat article about how therapists are using games to help with their therapy, especially as a way to relieve anxiety, take their clients' minds off problematic thoughts, and to make them more comfortable if they're struggling with traditional in-person therapy. It also includes a section about gaming addition about how therapists need to balance the positives of using games, as well as how they need to make sure they're using games as a tool to help their clients deal with their problems instead of escape from them.

Overall, I just thought it was a really positive but balanced article about something you don't hear much positivity about in the mainstream world. :)
