I’m happy to announce that
@Dawsinian will remain as our permanent Jarl of Regional Affairs!
Since
becoming the Acting Jarl several months ago, Daws has put in a lot of time and effort into the NationStates side of Wintreath: interacting with the community, running polls, and most recently taking command of our faction during the recent N-Day minigame (while appointing Excalibur as deputy commander). During his tenure, activity on the region page has boomed to record numbers and brought the NationStates-side of Wintreath to a prominence not seen in our history.
Given the effort and care he’s put in the region, and the great place it’s in now for it, it only makes sense that he be given the position on a permanent basis. Please join me in congratulating him!
Thank you, @Doc.The Ministry of Regional Affairs was originally created because there were a lot of problems on the region page with immaturity and rule-breaking. Doc did a lot to clean up the region page, ran new events such as Wacky RMB Rule day, and helped make the RMB community the more positive place that it is today. Furthermore, as a member of the Joint Moderation Group, he served as a compassionate voice for those we had to consider action against, and at least made sure their cases were fully heard by the entire group. I appreciate everything he’s done to make our community and especially the RMB a better place.
While his tenure as Jarl of Regional Affairs has come to an end, he remains an awesome member of the community, and we hope we will have an opportunity to work with him in the Cabinet in the future.
