Based on a suggestion from the Citizens' Council, a modified version of the weekly briefing provided to them will be made public 1 day later. This briefing covers the week of November 8th to November 14th. It’s based on discussions that have happened in the Cabinet Discord channel, moderation records, announcements made, briefing notes sent to me by Cabinet members, and in some cases just my recollection of things that came up in the community. Feel free to discuss or ask questions about any items in the briefing.

There are 8 days until campaigning for Thane, Underhusen, and Citizens Council elections, and 22 days until the end of the current season/term.

Activity

• Discord: There were 6,844 Discord posts, compared to 8,842 posts last week. There were no specific events that drove activity this week, but the return of Potato Bagel and Hapi has helped keep the Discord active. For the month, so far there have been 15,686 posts compared to 16,688 last month and 33,315 in November 2019.
• Forums: There were 78 forum posts this week, compared to 44 last week. Avatar of the Month and Spyfall sign-ups helped promote slightly more activity, while spam games accounted for 42% of this total. For the month, so far there have been 119 forum posts, compared to  442 in October and 694 in November 2019.
• NationStates RMB: There were 298 RMB posts this week, compared to 288 last week, a lot of which can be attributed to Wacky RMB Rule Day. So far for the month we have 586 posts compared to 187 in November 2019.

Moderation

• @Michi created a new channel called #the-birthday-haus for the community to celebrate members’ birthdays in. This was spawned from a celebration of Hapi’s birthday on the Discord.

Culture

• Signups for Spyfall XIII opened up on November 8th, with the game itself starting on November 13th. Ultimately 10 people joined the game, which is a good turnout for Spyfall.
• Nominations for October Wintreath’s Finest opened up on November 8th.
• Nominations for November Avatar Theme of the Month opened up on November 8th, with voting starting on the 13th. The nominations were Furry Avatars (Wintermoot), Joe Biden (Red Mones), Furry Joe Biden (Red Mones), Mystery Third Option (Doc), and an option pointing out that it should have been the fourth option (Ruguo).
• We had a belated game of Cards Against Humanity on November 13th. After only one other person had joined in 20 minutes (start time is usually 9:30PM Eastern), I went afk thinking that there wouldn’t be a game that night, only for others to join soon afterwards. When I came back around 11PM Eastern, some people were still there and we proceeded to have a game. Ultimately Elbbsas won the game that also included myself, Ender, and Ogun.
• We are still planning to organize regular Among Us games in the future.

Foreign Affairs

• There were no foreign dispatches to Wintreath this week.
• There were no foreign dispatches from Wintreath this week.

Regional Affairs

• Our delegate made the following votes in the World Assembly this week: Repeal: “GMO International Trade Accord” - NO VOTE, Repeal: “Commend Wintony” - NO VOTE, Protecting Sites Of Religious Significance - NO VOTE, Commend Sierra Lyricalia - NO VOTE.
• @ogunbiyi6422 put out a new poll on the NationStates region page asking about members’ political ideologies. The poll will close on November 17th.
• @Doc brought Wacky RMB Rule Day back to the NationStates region page RMB on November 12th! This time the rule was that all sentences had to include a colour in them. Turnout and reception was both overwhelmingly positive once again, and it looks like most people had a lot of fun with it!

Misc Government

• We gained no new Citizens this week.
• 5 Citizenships were revoked, leaving 74 current Citizens including Paragons.

Technology

• After implementing additional protection against spambots last week, Wintermoot removed 30 spambot forum accounts that had managed to register prior to that point. It appears that spambots figured out how to bypass reCaptcha in August, and most accounts registered between then and last week were spambot accounts.
