For those who are transgender, non-binary, or different identity, at what age did you discover your gender identity?

Very similar to the sexual orientation topic, but I thought separating them out would be helpful to people that have a different orientation and gender identity.

Hmmm. I realized something was off last year? So I think it would be 18 then. A bit late compared to some people here, but better late than never. I'm still trying to figure out where I fall in the non-binary spectrum at the moment. I labeled myself Demi for a while, but that isn't quite right. Leading towards Genderfae now.

I started feeling it in ~the Spring of 2016, and I think it was actually NationStates that served as the catalyst. I had been using a female persona for a while, as an “experiment” I told myself and others. Revealing that I was actually male and the harsh, severely transphobic reaction i received from people like 95 Block should have put me off it, but the whole experience made me realize I might not actually identify as a male.
