I think making it a requirement is absurd. If you're going to judge the qualifications on the basis of how many positions they have outside of NationStates, then I suggest you highly reconsider judging people on that criteria. There's plenty of people who can hold multiple positions and still run the positions they occupy effectively as if that was his or her only job in NS. Albeit, it is a lot of work; however any individual who holds that many positions is certainly motivated to succeed at what she or he does.

Officials holding multiple positions in various regions has led to the collapse of regional governments, declines in activity and the failures of regions as a whole. It is not unreasonable to ask what positions they hold if they want to seek office, at least in my opinion.

Of course; I just oppose it as a requirement in general Citizenry can always question candidates of potential conflict of interests which is the beauty of elections and campaigns.
