1. This act is to be cited as the Citizenship Requirements Rectification Act

Amendments
2. Section 2.1 is amended to read as follows:

Citizens are required to keep the nation which they gained citizenship with within the region unless they inform the person (or government agency) empowered to accept or reject citizenship applications in accordance with relevant law of a change in Citizenship Nation, with the new nation they wish to designate as their Citizenship nation. Citizens that have made five posts on the Wintreath forums during the previous calendar month, after their second month of citizenship, are exempted from this requirement. Any individual wishing to obtain citizenship must have a nation within the region in order to qualify for citizenship.

3. Section 2.1.2 is repealed
4. Section 2.1.1 is repealed

I wrote this act while I was writing the text for another amendment to this act. This mainly fixes an issue that was introduced with the Community Citizenship Amendment Act.

This is mainly due to how the Community Citizenship Amendment Act modified Section 2.1 (then Section 2.2) of the Citizenship to allow for people to retain citizenship by just making five posts on the forum. This reverts the text back to what it was prior to the amendment, with the addition of the five post alternative requirement, and also removes the specific reference to a Section of this act, replacing it with "in accordance with relevant law".

The issue itself is that the law required you retain the nation with which you obtained Membership within Wintreath with. Aside from the fact that "membership" is not defined or used elsewhere within the law, it also technically would prohibit the changing of your Citizenship nation, due to the wording.

I have fixed the issues with the draft introduced last session. I do believe it would be appropriate for this to be expedited, unless there is more time needed for debate.
