Calling Wintreath gamers and those who are interested in joining Wintreath or need information about Wintreath.  I am running for Thane of Gaming and Thane of Integration.  These thane positions seem quite interesting.  I am running for some of them since I know that I will actually have time to be active this term.  I have also seen a lot of players missing badges and thought I should see to it that they get them since I know thanes can award badges.

1.   I am running for Thane of Gaming because playing games is one of my favorite things to do.  I plan to learn how to do live streams since that will enable me to do Jackbox with more than just one or two other players and it looks like it could be interesting.  I am running for Thane of Integration because I would like to see this region grow and see more people participate in their specific areas of interest. 
2.   As Thane of Gaming I plan to host at least two (or more) Jackbox nights and I will definitely encourage those who have Jackbox to stream it.  Hopefully there will be some Jackbox events with a lot of players.  I will encourage others to host multiplayer Civilization nights and other games that are popular and not as popular in the region.  I will also start up topics discussing various games and game related fandoms and events started by those fandoms such as the Civilization Battle Royale.  As Thane of Integration, I plan to encourage inactive users to return by, relentlessly pinging them every day to tell them to get back here, encouraging members and citizens who know them to return since I don’t really know any of them.  I would probably do a better job of introductions on the discord and forums than the RMB.  I would probably be a horrible moderator though because I seem to be extremely tolerant of what others seem to say is flaming although I would definitely go after excessive harassment.  I do read all of the messages on the RMB (whether or not I understand all of them) and the forums (except in the Pride) and most of the messages in the Discord (outside of the NSFW area which I have muted).
3.   I don’t really have any qualifications for being Thane of Gaming that I know of other than having played a lot of games.  I am more qualified for Thane of Integration because I am an extremely active citizen who understands the Discord functions and the forum layout pretty well.  I also tend to talk to new people a lot (on Discord) in an effort to get them looking at the forums and the RMB.
4.   I will be on summer break for most of this term and even if I do take a summer class, I will make sure there will be time for Wintreath at least every two days.  Y’all have already seen how active I can be anyway.  Come fall term, I might not have the time but I will try to keep up.  I didn’t really have much time this last term and yet I was on almost every day, that means I can probably find a way.
5.   I am the founder of the region Command and Conquer Fans and Players.  Other than that, I am not in any other Nation States things.

Welcome to the campaign! I have some more questions.

1) Am I correct when I gather that you would mostly focus on Jackbox events and leave other games to other people?

2) When you say that you would get people who know inactive members to return, how will you go about figuring out who knows an inactive member?

3) We'll be having our fourth Summersend Festival in August, and this Cabinet will be instrumental in planning and carrying it out. Do you have any ideas on how you will contribute to the festival in either position?

1. Well Jackbox would be one focus but I can focus on many different games simultaneously.  Some games I do not have and so those would be entirely up to other people to run but other games that I would focus on would be the various .io games, I might throw a Kahoot or two around, I could try hosting a game of Civilization but I feel like that wouldn't go well.  But yes there would be an emphasis on Jackbox, although whether or not that ends up being the primary focus remains to be seen.


2. I get an idea of who knows or likely knows who by reading conversations and posts made on the forums, profiles, Facebook, and Discord.(That doesn't make me a stalker does it? )  From there I can try to establish some communication and see if contact can be made with these inactive members.


3. My small region has some embassies with other regions and I would advertise the festival there.  I might also add something to my NS Forums profile advertising Summersend in Wintreath.  In the gaming position I would try to plan some games for that time and encourage others to also plan games for that time and hope that they end up working out.  Other than that, I might start up some game polls and spam games related to gaming.  I could even work with others to see if there could be a Gaming themed Werewolf or something along those lines during that time.


Hopefully that answers some questions, and isn't so vague that it begs more questions.
