I have recently found an app called Polytopia. It's a game similar to Civ, but simpler. It's really addictive and you can play it anytime you have your phone with you. The game is free, and you get 4 tribes to choose from. There are 8 other tribes you can buy for about $0.99 each.

I figured that since there's a lot of Civ players in this region, this might be a popular game here, and it has the potential to be another type of regional game we do.

Online multiplayer is a new feature of the game, and you are required to buy one tribe to play online. I think that's definitely worth it, considering a tribe is only $0.99. Everyone has their own player ID, and you can friend someone by adding them by this player ID. The player IDs are ridiculously long with random symbols, and they're longer than youtube ids for some reason. If you're friends with someone, you can start a game with them and any combination of bots and people on your friends list. You have 24 hours to play your turn, then it goes to the next person. This would make a good regional game because it doesn't matter that everyone has different schedules, and we don't have to plan for a single game night.

If enough people show interest in this game, I would like to organize a regional Polytopia game.

That sounds like something that could be interesting but I probably would not be able to join in.

I actually played this game quite a bit late last year but eventually deleted it since my phone is only 8GB, and the AI is not hard at all. That was before multiplayer was a thing, though, so I'll try and redownload it if I have the space.

@Mathyland I've finally gotten it downloaded and ready. Had some trouble getting my Google Play Games app to work, but it's all good now. Let me know when you'd like to play a game.

And if anyone else doesn't want to spend a dollar for a tribe, you can earn free Google Play credits, which you can spend on the tribes, by downloading the Google Opinion Rewards app and taking surveys. Only took me like 4 surveys to get a dollar.
