Have been thinking about this for a while: what songs would you choose to represent the range of your musical interests? Not sure why I came up with seven, just seemed to work.

Here are mine:

Kind of a big question.

Very difficult indeed. I may have to stretch the rules a little.

If I were to break it into genres, I'd already be faced with a difficult prospect, since just in the realm of rock music, there have to be more than 20 subgenres, and they sound very different from each other. But I'll give it a shot, anyway.

Are there many different genres of rock music?  I thought there was only 3: Hard, Soft, and Grunge with the others being entirely different types of music.


My range is probably too broad for these parameters but too narrow at the same time.
