To be fair guys, we aren't supposed to know what happened to the USS Wintreath yet.

In my head canon contact was lost when the alien fleet showed up. We don't know if they were destroyed, escaped and hiding somewhere, or crash landed on a planet somewhere.

Vau doesn't know what's going on, he just is from the most militarized region in Wintreath so he wants moar gunz
