Robin for the Underhusen!

Hello folks and welcome to the Robin campaign for the Underhusen!  You have my word that I'll be an active, rational member of the Underhusen who will not let Wintreath down.  I've been in the Underhusen before, and I can say that during my tenure we attempted some good things, including election reform, that ended up not really passing.  Now I not sure it would be the time presently to renew such efforts, but I do think that we need some sort of push in the legislature to create increases in activity, and I'd be very interested in the ideas that anyone may have on that front. 

I've also been traditionally a very open Skrifa, and I am always willing to take citizen concerns or suggestions and introduce them in the Underhusen.  Even just comments and concerns are great!

Evening govnah. Just a question, is it Strifa or Skrifa? Also, perhaps you and I could talk sometime since you seem to be familiar with things here. Perhaps teach me a bit on the politics of Wintreath? I'm rather fond of the forum but rather poorly versed in the NS side of things.

*consults the procedural rules just to make sure I made a typo* You are correct!!  It is indeed Skrifa!!

And politics in Wintreath in general is quite mundane (or at least it should be, if it keeps with tradition).  We generally try to keep from over legislating, and we have considered some really interesting legislation in the past, including measures that encourage persons to praise the Great Spud and such before the introduction of legislation, which I believe ended up passing as a resolution! 

We also have done some more serious stuff, like attempted electoral reform and the institution of something more similar to a direct democacy, but that ultimately didn't really get anywhere.  I suppose we could reopen a constitutional convention in perpetuity, if we really wanted to...

I've always wanted to be a Steak-Frying progressive politician from Iowa.  I wouldn't quite say it's my calling, but I will say that if given the opportunity it'd be hard to turn down!   Plus it'd be super cool

Welcome to the campaign! Is there anything that you would do to increase interest in the legislature and legislative activity?

Well for starters I believe that it'd be quite fun to sort of create a dedicated page for general community imput into the legislative process, sort of like townhall meetings IRL, and then wait for the disgruntled citizenry to stir up interest themselves! 

Alternatively, we could introduce a civil list and other stuff.  That's SURE to cause fun stuff! 

But more seriously, probably by boosting RP interest and encouraging the establishment of other cool things/promotion of the cool things we have to our people back on NS
