Nice dedicated topic for spamming about my project, yay!
I chose to go the website route again. I'm essentially building a CCG (thanks Wuufu). Absolutely everything is subject to change. I'll probably be publishing live demos of different stages to make it more interesting to follow the progress. Unfortunately I will be using my home server for this, so access may be restricted if you live outside of the Europe.
I'll just figure out how to format this thread as the need arises.
Initial plans:- For each turn player is dealt five new random cards.
- Four out of five cards are swappable for each turn.
- Three cards get discarded after every turn.
- Player has two "safe" slots for cards that are not discarded after the turn, but:
- Fresh cards that are dealt to safe slots get discarded if swapped, unlike:
- Swapping a fresh card from normal slot stores the card in swap-hand.
- Player has limited inventory room for storing spare cards.
- Player has even more limited prebuilt swap-hand for swappable cards.
- PvP against other players
- Card trading with other players
- Currency based economy for rewards and buying new packs of cards.
- Purchasable "cheats" for training.
- Several card classes (stuff like potions etc games like Hearthstone are missing).
So far I have not planned the actual cards/classes or their mechanics very far, they'll be responsible for bringing great depth to the turns (hopefully).
3.2.2016Just figuring out how the GUI settles. No actual styling (fifty shades of gray to distinct elements from each other) and no functionality.
Just structures with HTML (important stuff). I usually take the opposite route and make "happenable" things before figuring out how to present them. This time I'm shooting for something prettier. GUI is supposed to be touch-friendly.
