Bad idea on their part. Dissolving free music services that are paid for by all of the ads (Spotify being especially notorious at points) is going to be met with both backlash as well as more people resorting to just pirating the music to listen to.
For some people out there, Spotify is a great way to get into music you've never heard before, and they go out and buy the album shortly after. Talking about cutting Spotify's free service considering it's a "Test" run for a few people out there is a silly idea. Same goes for regulating Youtube just so Apple has less competition to deal with.
